Introducing: The KMC Green Lantern Corps!

Purpose: With many groups devolving into nothing but glorified chat rooms, we wanted to create a group with a larger purpose. As the KMC GL Corps, we will be heralds of intelligent debating, and we shun any form of unnecessary bashing, flaming, spamming, or similar practices. By simply being cool members, we act as sort of “GLs” for the comic forums. Now, mind you, this doesn’t mean we can’t kick ass (because we can) nor that we always have to be perfect gentlemen. But rather than an opportunity for being a group and for socializing (which it can be too) this is more of a common banner under which we can do what we normally do anyway, which is to be sweet members.

Other stuff: To avoid problems of the group getting too large, membership is by invitation only. If we want you in, we’ll PM you. Otherwise, don’t bother. This ISN’T to be elitist, but rather to avoid the problems some groups face by allowing too many members in, thereby becoming burdened by their size.

Signature: This is a signature I whipped up for us. I might get around to making more eventually, but we can all use this sig as our “calling card” for now. You can wear it whenever you want…I’ll probably wear mine every now and then. And DC can feel free to add anything he wants too, since he’s as accomplished as I am at sig-making.


Avatar: Simple, but effective. That was the style I was going for. It’s in 64x64 below and also 100x100.



Specific Lantern Identities: We don’t have to “represent” a character if we don’t want. But Kahn has already called Kilowog, and I have Alan reserved. If you want to be a specific one, feel free, but it’s not a requirement. I’d also recommend The Guardians if just being a Lantern isn’t enough.

To end our announcement, I'd like to paraphrase Kyle Rayner. In the Rann-Thanagar War, he was asked which side he was on. He responded "I'm on the universe's side." We're not against the other teams, and neither quite with them. Rather, we're on the side of the comic forums, and KMC in general.

Placing the ends of the maps together, the strange patterns of the trees made out the symbol of the Green Lantern Corps. Bolphugna quickly realized the very planet he was standing on was the Green Lantern known as Mogo. For the first time ever, Bolphugna the Unrelenting... relented. He ran to his starship, took off, and has not been heard of since.
