just like my pal verildaine, i'm going to start my own short poem thread. it'll just be about random stuff, my poems. ever since i read her material, it was so good, that i wanted to try it for myself. of course, mine aren't as good as hers! mind you, this one i'm about to post is real rough and new to me. i'm not sure if i'm done with it, it may still need some work. leave me a kind review!

well...*breathes deeply* here goes nothing:

Not all eyes are seeing, but that doesn’t mean they are blind.
They may see, but choose not to believe.
Some even choose to forget the unbelievable.
Some don’t allow their minds to expand beyond their values.
They may look at us in hate, fear, pity, or the ever rare, an understanding.
Yes, we are different, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t human.
We feel pain and joy like anyone else does in this world.
Why scorn all of us for one’s actions?
In your blind hatred, you want to be rid of or control us.
You tear us down by shunning us in public.
How can you do this, when we were once like you?
Or, at least, once knew you?
Some of our appearances may change, but are we monsters for it?
Our auras don’t change.
You may fear us, but we are not all here to make you bleed.
As in bleeding, pushing you out of existence as if you were scum.
The truly twisted try to change us.
Some for the worse, while others for their selfish, yet precious, memories of old.
Some of our betters try to aide you, the innocent.
Others see no point in helping the blind or deaf.
This is an never ending turmoil: whose better?
The homo sapiens or the homo superiors?
Most of us are just struggling for our place in the world.
Can you truly blame us?
Will you never learn to share the world?
Yes, it has been historically proven as not your most defining attribute.
This is a harsh world to live in.
A race for the survival of the different.
We, the mutants, must go with the flow and accept our fate for now.
Not all will bow down, go down easy.
The corrupted will defend themselves by all means.
The determined are set to defend you.


well, the theme of this "poem" is mutants. how one or some see the world and normal people. the one's who hate them. the poem could take place during x2 or both movies combined. or something that rogue or one of the x-men is thinking or feeling during that scene where they are gathered in the oval room giving documents to the president in the dark room. you dig? hmm....a title for this... "The Blind Men's Scorn"...i don't know! can't concentrate or think of one for now. so i'll leave it titleless or at that. i hope i can think of more soon and post them!
