Question regarding Mambo

Hello, I'm currently making a website with Dreamweaver and I have a question regarding Mambo. Basically what I want to know is, what it does and how would I benefit from it? What's the differance between Mambo and Dreamweaver?
I tried to read the FAQ's on there site but I don't quite understand it. I would much appriciate a more thorough answer, thanks!
