This is a tough Question because everybody is scared of different things. I used to be scared of Arachnophobia even though its not really a horror film.

really?......ofcourse. Jaws scared more people than any other film in history. It terrified an entire nation........more than 30 years later there are still people who will not swim in the ocean because of the fear this film instilled in them.
no offense......but "It"? it was a tv mini-series..........nobody should be scared by anything fictional that can be aired unedited on national broadcast television, much less specificly made for it.

ED is right. Jaws scared the living shit out of the entire world, even if they don't admit it.
I also have to add The Changeling. This movie terrified me.

that is true, but im just basing this off of what scared me, i saw IT when i was too young, so it was scary to me, where as jaws never scared me, but it did scare alot of people.

I wouldn't say scared but Hellraiser disturbed me a lot... it had this kind of gritty, sick horror that was really uncomfortable to watch. The sequels went by in a blur but the first was creepy.
