I watched it, quite fun movie, thought not the best Star Wars experience I had.
These incompetent droids were a bit too much, it looked like they are absolutely not a threat to the Jedi.
Now, how does the TV series compare to that movie?

About the same, more oh-so-very-funny droids and a lot more incompetence. I'd say it get worse here and there, and sometimes a little better than the movie.
