Let's hope a Pac-Man VS PBF match materializes BEFORE the May 2010 elections in the Philippines.

Manny has already announced that he will retire because he intends to run for a political office.
Besides, Mama Dionisia wants him to stop boxing since he has already made a name for himself... he has proven his worth, and got a shitload of cash. I mean, Pac-Man was the 6th highest paid athlete in 2008 (thanks Wikipedia)

I would disagree with some of that, tbh.

Manny has the power and heart but Mayweather went the distance against Marquez and finished the fight looking as fresh as he started it. His punching speed and accuracy are also top drawer and Pacquiao would only match of speed.

Mayweather's technical ability and the fact that he does his homework on his opponents would also prove invaluable (despite the fact that he likes to portray an image that he doesn't need to do his homework cos he'll beat his opponents anyway)

Heart is definitely on Pacquiao's side though.

In my eyes, a TRUE champion would never back down from their opponent..
You face your opponent head on, even if you suffer a knockdown.
IMO, Hatton has more HEART than Cotto for facing Pac-Man head on, even though he probably knew he stood no chance and soon would get KO'd.

Cotto going rope-a-dope at Rds 9-12 shows that he's just a coward... he was obviously avoiding a humiliating KO!

honestly, Cotto displayed courage, tons of it, and not cowardice...

Cotto was bleeding from almost every orifice in his head, so much so it trickled down and completely made his white shorts pink, and he still wanted to continue the fight...

you do know what happened to boxers such as Gerald McClellan right?...

and in terms of heart, how in the world can you even compare Ricky Hatton who got ktfo in the 2nd round to Miguel Cotto?...

I agree. Why would someone just wanna trade with someone with Manny's punching power? Imo by the 9th Cotto knew he lost the fight but he wanted to make it to the end. WHy make things so much easier for Manny by just going straight for him. One thing Cotto aint is a coward. Win or lose he has fought every one they put in front of him and has never backed down from a fight.

Now that they are both coming from a loss I wouldnt mind seeing a Cotto-Hatton fight.

I agree. It'd be a good fight. As for why Hatton went head to head with Manny's punching power. Hatton is regarded as one of the heaviest punchers of that division himself. Why wouldn't he? Take his fight against Castillo, for example. Of all the people who Castillo has fought over the years (Mayweather, Casamayor, Diaz, Corrales) he said he'd never been hit as hard as he did against Hatton.

You can't doubt Hatton's heart. He went for it against Mayweather and had a shit ref who wouldn't let him get inside (where he is best) and kept splitting which is where Mayweather was tagging him.

He always looks like a bag of spanners after a fight because he takes that many hits but still keeps going.

His fight ended against Pacquiao abruptly because the punch that connected would've floored anyone in that division.

Hell no. This bum would get murdered by Pacman inside of 3 rounds.

I'm playing Fight Night Round 4...
WTF??
Manny only has 85 overall rating, even though he's #1 P4P! That's like the lowest rating for all the pro boxers in the game!!

Shit, the developers forgot to take their meds.. Racist scum.

I think the game was well into development before he even fought Oscar De la Hoya and he wasn't regarded as highly then as he is now.

and yet, apparently from an article i read, miguel cotto won round 10 on two of the judges card.
maybe you should wear gloves and step in the ring with the best the world has to offer.
ricky hatton bum rushed pacquiao and got put out of his misery...cotto got clubbed big time for 12 rounds....and yet ricky has more heart because he was "brave" enough to let manny sock him a good one....?

LOL! laughing

Kessler's fought nobodies since his defeat to Calzaghe. Shame because he has the potential to be great. You react 2 ways to a defeat. It either focuses you and makes you better or your confidence takes a dent and you don't recover. Seems he's doing the latter.

On a side note. What is it with all the boxers called Andre?

Dirrell
Ward
Berto

All decent fighters (although Dirrell was shit against Froch)

WTF? Miguel Cotto is not bigger than Pacquiao.
From the tale of the tape, Miguel's hieght is 5"7 while Manny is 5"61/2 and the fight was at a catchweight of 145 pounds. Then how about them having Manny have the same bicep size as Cotto (13"), Manny's forearms being 1/2" larger, the same reach of 67", Manny's normal chest being 38" while Cotto's is 39" the same expanded chest size but his expanded chest size being the same as Cotto's (notice how this shows the stamina difference between the two), the same neck size (16") and larger calf size with Manny's being 15" while Cotto's are just 12".
The only thing Cotto has bigger than Manny is fist size which is 11" compared to Manny's 10", a larger waistline (32" as oppossed to Manny's waist being 28") and larger thighs, with Cotto's being 221/2 and Manny's being 20".
