At first Ventress appeared to be another evil villain, which had nothing good in her.
However, in last two seasons she is shown from entirely different side.
Starting from her childhood she was Jedi padawan. Her relationship with master was like father and daughter.
She cannot be blamed for becoming Dooku's apprentice as she was still child.
She reunited with Nightsisters later. Seems like nothing good about it as Nightsisters are darksiders.
Yet, she is shown caring for them and valuing life of every single sister. When Dooku threw her and two sisters out of window, she found strength to save them from falling.
When Grivous forces attacked Nightsister's village, she tried to protect her sisters and experienced loss for each one dying.
Sith care only for themselves but her actions clearly show that there is good in her.
Then she saved Obi-Wan and united with him against Oppress and Maul, when she was supposed to despise him.
And now as they escaped on a ship, Obi-Wan gets a chance to get to know Ventress better.
Apart from sense of vengeance for Dooku's betraying and atrocities against Nightsisters
she has no reason to fight and there seem to be no more need to confront Jedi.
Will Obi-Wan and Anakin reach her heart and help her to be redeemed?

I always got the impression that her and Obi-Wan held back against each other when they fought.
In the CW movie after she disarmed Obi-Wan she had a clear opportunity to kill him but didn't.
Why would she hold back even in the slightest unless there was still some good in her? I doubt she was being cocky like Maul in TPM, because she really wasn't superior to Obi-Wan.
Either way, I'm certainly looking forward to where they take her.
Obsession probably isn't canon anymore. I'm sure the cartoon will end up overruling it.
Anyway, I really like Assaj; I always felt like she was incredibly underrated. However, I feel like her doing the "turn to the lightside and sacrifice herself to save everyone" thing would be really cheesy.

Oh yeah I hope so! It would make sense as they've shown Kenobi is somewhat fond of Ventress, and like Blax said the Original probably isn't canon anymore.
