Holy sithlord.

That might actually work.

(Although I still do not like the name Snoke at all.)

Quite!

A) way too complicated for SW

B) That would take half a movie to explain...

C) Knowing that Snoke in the development stage was once a woman, makes me think that Snoke indeed is, as some of the film makers of TFA said before, a NEW CHARACTER!

Maybe Snoke is ACTUALLY that guy Palaptine was quietly consorting with on the Death Star in RotJ. Think about:

A.) they're both thin, creepy, old looking weirdos.
B.) they're both affiliated with evil regimes.

I think it's pretty clear that creepy guy from RotJ was actually Palpatine's secret master, and Palpatine was the puppet. He probably foresaw the Rebels victory and hightailed it out of dodge, setting up the First Order in secret to take revenge on the Rebels and the Jedi when the time was ripe, eventually reemerging as the "Supreme Leader" that he already secretly was.

Pretty solid theory, guys.

Or God forbid, he's actually a brand new character.

Yeah the number of leaps in logic it made was pretty absurd.

However I was more referring to the ridiculous character destroying idea that Palpatine was Plagueis all this time...

There's a large crowd that seems to think that SW is the most intricate web of intrigue and deceit.
