Still kinda an unorthodox opinion when a lot of people consider him a sub-Yoda level cuck for some reason.

It's pretty obvious erm

Except that the potential from individuals in different eras varies drastically, so even the guy with the most potential in the years 700-800 BBY could have considerably less potential than someone from 200-100 BBY, for example.

And yeah, but if they do live up to it or maybe exceed it, they might kill off their master before learning everything from him/her if they're not patient enough. There are factors to consider before automatically assuming most or every single RoT Sith is more knowledgeable and powerful than anyone before.

Do you know for certain that Bane has less Force potential than Vectivus? Even if Vectivus is more knowledgeable, his limit could be either lower or higher based on that.

No, because it's straight up canonical fact that they are indeed more powerful with each generation. Your mental gymnastics don't matter for shit next to that.

Where is this stated? Legends, I assume.

For a millennium, the Sith maintained the order in secrecy, passing down their evil heritage. As they gained knowledge of the dark side of the Force, their powers increased with each generation.

Is the TPM scrapbook considered Legends or Canon?

Legends of course. All literature produced Pre-Disney is Legends.

Well there you go. There is no canon statement that supports the idea that every single RoT generation was unquestionably more powerful than its last. It's open to interpretation. And my reasons for questioning it are not really so out of line at all.

I mean, since we're discussing the E freaking U, I'd assume EU sources are a canonical fact within that continuity.

There is no "open to interpretation" within Legends continuity, which is where Bane and Plagueis actually exists as anything other than easter eggs; Sidious > Plagueis > Tenebrous > a long line of Sith > Cognus > Zannah > Bane.

Yeah I'm talking about Canon. The Rule of Two also exists in Canon, no?
