Loved it as well. Not sure what there was to hate about it. A few things weren't perfect. The casino felt a bit tacked on and out of place (I also didn't care for the way the movie ended with the broom kid....very random.) But overall, it was the first Star Wars movie Disney pumped out that had my attention from start to finish.
Rogue One bored me to death. TFA had me for the first 40 percent or so. It lost me from the Cantina scene on forward and the last act (Death Star trench run) was sinful.
The Last Jedi took some risk and did things we hadn't seen before. I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing it again. Dare I say, this might be one of my favorite SW movies of them all.

after a second viewing it turns out i liked it after all. was a lot to digest considering expectations vs reality.

They key is to have absolutely no expectations for Star Wars. I have a feeling alot of the people bemoaning TLJ as literally the worst movie ever are either very young, stupid, or spent way too much neural energy imagining what they thought and hoped it would be--fuelled by internet speculation and YouTube theory videos.
As someone who didn't give a shit before the movie came out and made the occasional wisecrack on this forum--I thought it was the bees knees of the revived and already worn out Star Wars film franchise! 3 down, only minimum 1 per year for the next 87 years to go! I can't wait to own the entire collection!

hyperspace was some greedy bullshit and deserved to be mass-pirated.

I'm here, but I often go several months in-between posting. The release of a new Star Wars film brings a lot of us oldies back because it generally gives us something to discuss. Then, minus a select few, most of us pop in once in a great while.
If more members that I associated with back in KMC's golden era posted on a daily basis, I would probably post more often, but we don't seem to see to see many of them unless a new movie comes out, and even then, its' mostly "hi" then "bye."
It's so cool seeing you back here again. Shows just how big and how much fun this place used to be 13 years ago, that even now, people are still checking in.
JP, Havoc X, Yerssot, Lyn, Basher Teg, Imaginary, Kimmeh, Queeq, (I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting) but man, we had the best time ever in the The Temple role-playing thread on here. Pretty much spent the entirety of my summer of 2004 on there. I was only 16 years old back then. hahaha Star Wars and KMC will always be synonymous to me, even if this place will never be what it once was.
