If Palpatine used his brain in ROTJ (which he didnt) he could've brought Luke to the dark side. If Palpatine told Luke that Vader killed younglings to get to where he is, Luke would've killed Vader without any remorse.
Maybe not. Luke knew Vader was responsible for a lot of bad shit in the galaxy. Luke blamed Vader for Owen and Beru's death, he lost his hand and he tortured his friends, but he always knew Vader was being manipulated by Palpatine.
Also, Luke was told about the Jedi skirmish by Obi-Wan, so he'd just assume Vader was responsible for killing the young Jedi aswell.
Even if Palpatine told Luke about Vader killing the kids, Luke would blame Palpatine and forgive his father, just as he forgave him for all the other crap he did to his friends, relatives and himself.
The key issue was that Luke knew Anakin used to be a good man. Nobody would accept that a once decent man would suddenly become evil, and leave all of their past self behind. He knew Vader commited terrible things already, but he knew it couldn't have been his will that did it.
Palpatine said to "kill all the Jedi in the Temple." So leaving Jedi Younglings behind would hardly qualify as killing all the Jedi.

Every single Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic...
Single: unmarried: not married or related to the unmarried state; "unmarried men and women"; "unmarried life"; "sex and the single girl"; "single parenthood"; "are you married or single?"
Be the rational as it is/may/you think, it DOES NOT make sense that Anakin is prepared in any way to commit those murders of children. Palpatine has not EVEN come CLOSE to preparing or manipulating him enough to do that. It is BY FAR the weakest link in the overall plot of the entire series. Lucas, I'm so sorry, but you blew that. For Anakin to turn, a much stronger motive is needed.

Wel, for one thign the Sth don't train more than one appretece at a time, & with all those youngling, who's train them in the ways of the darkside? Palpatine was already the master of Darth Vader.
