June - on the 20th, Osgiliath is attacked by Sauron's armies; at the same time the Orcs run an attack on Mirkwood where the captured Gollum is released because the elves that should have guarded him have to flee
July 4th - Boromir leaves Minas Tirith in order to tell Elrond about his dreams
10th - Saruman imprisons Gandalf in Isengard
