Candyman 4 News on the Next Candyman!!!!
It looks as if the budget will be relatiely larger for this one. Tony Todd (Candyman) is excited by the looks of it, but dissapointed that the movie will ignore the events of the first three films (like Halloween H20). This one is going to be set in New England and have an all-grils college Professer as a descendent of the Candyman, but not to worry it's a she so the real Candyman will be in it.

Just because the budget will be bigger doesn't change the fact that it will go straight to video, it will still suck, and put the nail in the stupid franchises coffin.
To clarify, "Candyman" was never scary to begin with. It's basically a black, ghetto "Bloody Mary" Stand in a mirror, say his name a few times, and he appears.
The original was boring, the 2nd one equally as pathetic, the 3rd one went straight to video and starred a Baywatch chick. C'mon.
Tony Todd is a cool guy, but I like him better in Platoon, Final Destination, or even that pathetic Scarecrow Slayer movie he did.
But the Candyman is all outta candy if you ask me.

The orignial was very atmospheric and had some great performances by Tony Todd and Virginia Madsen. I think the film does justice to the work of Clive Barker who is my favorite author. The sequel was very dull but had its moments. The third film seemed to ignore the events of the first two to some extent, was let down greatly by a poor script and a low budget, tony tood almost makes it watchable but not quite.
First of all. All of you are stupid for saying those things. None of you even payed attention to the script let alone, understand the story. I'm a personal friend of Tony's and the first Candyman movie scared the crap outta me. Daniel Robitaille/Candyman was the son of a slave who was killed and torchered to death because he loved a rich white woman. His soul became trapped in a mirror. Unlike the so-called "Bloody Mary" who is a ghost. Candyman can manifest himself at will and kill you physically with his hook. while there have been mixed stories about Bloody Mary, who is the daughter of King Henry the 8th. Next time, do a little research and get the facts straight.
I enjoyed the original as well, was also very creeped out by the character. But I hold the films up on the same level as Wishmaster. Enjoyable but hardly a classic.
