Learning the FILIPINO Language

Here are some English-Filipino translations that are mostly and commonly used.

How are you?
Kumusta ka na? (asking a singular person)
Kumusta na kayo? (plural)
Kumusta? (slang and indefinite but commonly used)

varieties: Kumusta po sila? Kumusta na po kayo? Kumusta po? (these depend on WHO you're greeting is)

I love you
Mahal kita (singular)
Mahal ko kayo (plural)

varieties: Mahal na mahal kita, Mahal ko po kayo

Thank you
Salamat
Salamat po
Maraming salamat po, Salamat po nang marami (thank you very much)

What is your name? ---> Ano'ng pangalan mo?
Who are you? ---> Sino ka?
Where do you live? ---> Saan ka nakatira?
Where did you come from? ---> Saan ka nanggaling?

I'm fine ---> Mabuti naman ako
Yes ---> Oo, Opo
No ---> Hindi
None ---> Wala
