Brian Michael Bendis promises Magneto's reality-altering assault on the world will have long-lasting effects. Check out the list of six possible scenarios below; Marvel has guaranteed that one of them will be a reality when House of M wraps in September!
1. The number of mutants living on Earth will be reduced from over 60,000 to 300 maximum, returning the X-Men to their familiar perch on the edge of extinction
2. The Ultimate and regular Marvel Universes will merge and become one, tying in to the events of Ultimate Fantastic Four
3. Thor, the deceased Asgardian God of Thunder, will make his triumphant return to the land of the living after kicking Magneto's tyrannical ass
4. Dr Strange, the only man powerful enough to stop the Scarlet Witch in "Avengers Disassembled," saves the day but pays the ultimate price. He'll be replaced by Wanda, Sorceress Supreme
5. Peter Parker is no longer married to Mary Jane
6. Daredevil's secret identity becomes secret again
This could indeed end up as altering as the original DC "Crisis"...I'm a bit more excited about House of M now.
They all sound good except number 2. Ultimate lines are great because they are so different, and untainted. They have had very few writers mess up the stories, and characters haven't begun to range in power greatly.

^^That's what I've thought will happen all along, this is just a way to rid of the many many mutants who have to reason to be.

I would like it to a point, I mean, at least there would be some attention pointed his way, but unless Wanda does some massive character changes, she just doesn't have the mental or moral fortitude to handle the position.
If you go crazy cuz you can't have kids, then you ain't mentally tough enough to be Earths last chance.

Yea ive heard alot of good previews to the new Thor series coming out in September. I dont know if anyone else has heard this, bu i heard somewhere that Wonder Man is gonna get his own series after the House of M is finished. Has anyone else heard that?
I've heard of that rumor too. The writers will supposedly write him as a Wonder Man, not a Wonder Jobber. His first villain he encounters is supposedly Count Nefaria. His true powers will supposedly awaken, enabling him to have Superman like strength and durability, as well as powerful ionic blasts that he can emit from his eyes and his hands. I hope that story is true. It's about damn time.
yea, but i dont think its just a rumor anymore. I think Marvel recently confirmed that its gonna happen right after the House of M series. And yea, i think he should definitely fight Nefaria.
I really, REALLY hope this is true. Marvel REALLY needs to show more love to Simon.
Out of all of those scenarios, I'd rather Thor come back. The Mutants don't need to be reduced, as I'm sure many people have a favorite B,C, or even D level mutant.
Wanda becoming Soceress Supreme wouldn't be too objectionable, but I'd much rather have her become Strange's protege' instead. Stephen doesn't need replacing. Spider-Man ditching MJ, while rather welcome (he could finally pursue other superpowered women,which would open up all kinds of possibilities) wouldn't really live up to the HoM's promise. Ditto for DD.
