My Video Cameraaaa!

I got my first video camera! I'll be taking it to France this summer and using it for school projects... but what else do I do with it? Is my camera good?

I got it for 30% off because it was the floor model and they were discontinued, and then an additional 10% for my team member discount, since I work there. Total for the camera was $220.49 instead of the advertised $349.99. Takes MiniDV tapes... and pretty good zoom, 18x.

Any suggestions on what to do with it?
