Which bands are considered emo?
I've started hearing more and more about emo music and I don't really know what that style is exactly. The basic idea I have is that it is just music for whiners.
I've heard people accuse Fall Out Boy and Weezer of being emo bands, but I have no idea if that's true or not. Just which bands are actually emo?

Simple Plan...whether they actually are or not, I dunno, but they act like a bunch of whiny teenagers so thats my reasoning..

Do any real emo bands still exist today? I thought the genre kinda died off ages ago and all these fakers took over the fad. Of course I was taking the piss with Simple Plan, but nowadays emo music is percieved as all these whiners singing with their high voices about how sad their life is and all that crap and aim for the teen girl audience age range of 12-16 yr olds.
Damn media...

I've laid it out way too many times in many threads, so have others. If you don't get it now, give up.
Seriously. We don't need any more of these threads.
