Sheriff J W Pepper J W Pepper was the pompous, somewhat incompetent Police sheriff who chases Bond in 'Live And Let Die'.
He's used to good comic affect, in one of the great chase scenes. However, as a popular character, they couldn't resist bringing him back in the following film, 'The Man With The Golden Gun', in which he makes what most agree is an awful guest appearance.
It's probably best to remember him from 'Live And Let Die'.
