Traditional Animation Vs CGI

Two part question...

1. Which do you prefer? Hand drawn or CGI?

2. And which stable of movies do you prefer?

Traditional/cartoons:
Snow White
Cinderalla
Bambi
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
101 Dalmatians
Pinocchio
Fantasia
Peter Pan
Alice In Wonderland
Rescuers Down Under

Or

CGI

Cars
The Incredibles
Toy Story 3
Ratatouille
Wall-e
Finding Nemo
Up
Monster, Inc
A Bug's Life
Toy Story
Toy Story 2

Both are good considering the artistic vision of the creators.

Anyone who prefers either is either an extreme nostalgic or a douche.

I'm a nostalgic futurist. I like to see the potential of human creativity but at the same time deeply appreciate the raw rusty nail style of old fashioned cinema.

Cinema has lost its way due to bums on seats and corporate greed. Though independent cinema is doing very well. That's the publics response to current entertainment. I want brave and resourceful filmmakers to find that balance and push the boundaries of creative expression.

CGI may be what some perceive as the natural evolution of animation. But they're idiots. Art doesn't work that way. The way to our hearts is story not showbiz. Showbiz is Hype. And Hype is a powerful tool in manipulating the masses.

I love Toy Story and I love Flight of Dragons. Both rock and the idea of a VS between the two is mute to me.

I was into hand drawing animation only for just a while, and then I finally embraced both. What did it was 'Finding Nemo' and then films like 'The Incredibles', 'Wall-E', 'Tangled', and 'How to Train a Dragon', which made me feel very comfortable having both 3d and 2d side by side.
