There is this tendency to put a lot of effort into logos. Yes there has been a lot of effort and expense in developing these logos, BUT there is a clear pattern that develops.
If you look at some online giants, and their logos such as; Walmart, New York Times, Quick Sprout, Warrior Forum, Google, etc etc etc they ALL have pretty basic text logos.
Be sure to get a logo design that is unique, but don't go crazy by paying thousands of dollars for logo
