strong enough to temporarily hinder guys like ben grimm. who can break it easily? probably around ben's level. i've seen doc ock's arms break it. rhino has ripped free. did cage break it recently, or did it hold him? can't recall.... i'd say cl50ish guys can break it with effort. it gets easier from there.

Back in the day, it was stated that a single string could incapacitate Thing.

Of course, those backissue extras from Spidey books often lied, like with the strength levels.

It held him. 1 panel.

Made little sense, though, as he could've just ripped the wall off he was attached to...

And I'm not sure if SpOck didn't upgrade the formula?

hmm, he may have now that you said it, but i don't think he made it stronger as much as he made it more useful....

i also think maybe the webbing used to be portrayed as stronger than it is nowadays. it doesn't seem to be made a huge deal anymore. still, holding this era's cage for a panel is pretty damn solid. easy right now it seems to hold blue marvel. thumb up

Don't know about more recent updates, but ...

Spidey's webs once momentarily held 50 ton class range Rogue:
