Sith!!!Cowards?

Can anyone care to explain why Sith are such cowards? They are supposedly suppose to be more powerful than Jedi yet you have the typical GG who runs away all the time, Assaj who does the same, Dooku has dont it also, And Sidious attempted to do it as well. If they were as powerful as they claim, why run?

The Sith are extremely interested in self-preservation, I'd have to say. Exar Kun and Naga Sadow also ran away...

GG isn't a Sith. no expression

The Sith are arrogant, that's why they say they're greater than any Jedi. Grievous isn't Sith, he's a general; and generals are supposed to know when to give a tactical retreat. Assaj also knows when she's beat, so she runs off. Dooku had the plans to the Death Star and he knew he couldn't beat Yoda, so he ran before either Yoda beat him or he got gunned down. Sidious tried running because there was a 50/50 chance he'd die, maybe more or less. In all cases they knew they were under danger of dieing and their cause losing a member/losing the head to the body.

I guess it is because there are so few of them, and they'd rather run to fight another day, then die in honor. They might oftenly be more powerful than the average jedi, but that doesn't mean any jedi. Sith fight smart, they know which battle they will win and which they will loose, most of the time...

Dooku ran from Mace also. Anyway... The Jedi are also arrogant at times. Sidious believed Yoda was arrogant, Anakin for sure is arrogant..ect. The Jedi are also in the danger of dying when they engage, but maybe it is because the Sith are selfless and care about themselves.

Dooku's forces were losing the battle, I believe, and he wanted to get off world as fast as possible, seeing as he would then have to take on all those Jedi in addition to all those clones. Not even a man of his skill can survive that, and he knew it.

there is a difference in being a coward and havin a strong feeling of self preservation. cowards let fear dictate their actions, sidious would rather run than fight yoda becauase he might lose, his entire lifes work was being realised and he didnt want to risk it needlessly on the outcome of a single fight. dooku had the plans to the death star and had to get them to his master, an i he kept fighting hed likley have died. your not a coward if you know your capabilities and act accordingly. you an idiot if you let your pride get the better of you and you stand your gound knowing your going to die for no reason other than your too afraid to run.

grievous wasnt a sith, and like dooku said, if he doesnt have the advantage of intimidation and fear he would be well advised to withdraw. which he does. he didnt become one of the greatest jedi killers in the galaxy by standing his ground to the likes of mace or yoda. he had a job to do, and pride was something he checked at the door when need be.

Plus it would make for boring movie if bad guy died at every fight. Whatever would happen to sequels
