The Thing has many more lifting feats no doubt 
but The Thing has been mainstay in one of the most known comics in the world.
Captain Britain was a 2 tonner until the late 80s.

No I think Cap hits harder as well.
The few pure punching feats he has at least are pretty good.
But like I said, current Cap only has 4-5 years of feats.
