EVANGEL94 2nd SLUGFEST SHOWDOWN Tournament: Meta Level Draft

This is the meta level draft. SPIDERMAN is the max level you can get for this level.

If SPIDERMAN cant beat your guy, then your choice isn't eligible.

I thought I would take the time to remind you of the rules...Since most of you all seem to forget them.

10. Mind/body swapping (IE., Doctor Doom's mind transfer)

11. Mind control (IE., Emma Frost taking over a foe's mind and using him to fight his own team, kill himself, etc.)

� A mental attack on an opponent is allowed though.

12. Power negation/boosting (IE., Fabian Cortez enhancing a mutant)

� This rule extends to anyone who can enhance a character's pre-existing powers or give them new powers entirely

3. Decay
4. Multiple Man
5. Lord Tantalus
6. Zoom II
7. Amalgams
8. Amazo
9. Super-Adaptoid
10. Stonecutter
11. the Engineer
12. the Doctor
13. Zatanna

NEW RULE!
� �Team Friction�: Magneto and Wolverine & the X-Men will not happily work side by side here. Batman and the Joker would never ever work together. If two people on your team have a grudge/history of fighting, they will automatically start to fight each other on the battlefield. You can have good and evil on the same team but you will need a reason why they should work together, if the reason is good enough there will be no team friction. Team friction will reduce how effectively you can fight your opponent. Your team members will be busy fighting, arguing, and getting in eachothers way instead of fighting your opponent.

My Herald Level pick- Protege, the GotG foe.
There's no fansite with a bio up that I can find, but in a thread on the Image Comics boards creator/writer Jim Valentino himself posts a synopsis and pictures of the relevant issues. I would hope that (along with scans) would be sufficiently authorative. (so to speak) If there were characters above Herald Level around, the Protege could break the power caps. Since there aren't, he's effectively capped there too. He will actually start each bout at around Enhanced Meta level.

Enhanced-Meta Level:

The Super-Skrull in all his badass shape-shifting FFish brutality. Power Levels are at 60's FF scale and no booster beam. Evengel94 calls his strength at ~50tons. While he has more experience than he did in his first appearance, he's not as good at using his powers as the FF are. Use of his Hypnosis power will be severely limited limited by rules 2 and 8.

Temugin, the son of the Mandarin. His father's Marvel Bio has a list of the rings. Certain uses of the which would be curtailed by rules 2,3,4, and 11; of course. (Supplimentary wikki link)

On to the new stuff!

I'm drafting the Fixer and Ecstasy.

Here are a Bio and a pretty thorough Character History for the Fixer.

Here's a directory link for Ecstasy. For those unfamiliar, she's essentially a French Cloak knock-off.

While he will be packing his usual tech-pak & weaponry, this is not the robot Techno form, which would of course be in a higher power class.

Before anybody grouses about Doom being Herald Level based on his tech prowess, keep in mind the following:

a) Fixer's tech-pak, while perhaps more versatile, is nowhere near durability the over-all power of Iron-Man or Doom's armors. Doom can get pounded on by the FF all at once, at least for a little while. IM gets back up after punches from the Hulk. Fixer could not.

b) While the Fixer may be the fastest gadget man in the MU, he's not in Reed and Doom's league in terms of sheer do-the-impossable super-science. Fixer builds cool weapons and super-gadgets, out-foxes traps, and such. Doom builds time machines and steals the Power Cosmic from the Silver Surfer. Not even close.

c) Doom personally has high-level super-powers. Even though the Ovoid mind-transfer is banned, Doom is still a powerful enough wizard to have made the finals in Aged Genghis's tourney for the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme in the Doctor Doom/Doctor Strange graphic novel.
