Alpha Flight: Talisman Respect Thread

Introduction:
The Talisman is a mortal channel through which the gods can fight. One of the strongest magical users in the Marvel universe, the Talisman is a director of forces, not a combatant. Throughout history there have been several to don the Talisman of Power. Its power is for guiding things, not destroying them. The wearer of the Talisman no longer needs to eat nor sleep. The Talisman "is the breaker of Dark Spells, the one who binds all evil ." Even Snowbird, a goddess, knelt before Talisman, uttering, "Hail to thee, O promised one. Thy unworthy servant bids thy welcome and awaits thy least command ." One who is given the power of the Talisman is said to have the power of godhood, Dr. Strange mentioned the Talisman is "a primal force of nature ". Briefly Shaman donned the Talisman of power but fully couldn�t channel it�s power as only Elizibeth is worthy
As stated by her father (Shaman): "properly developed, hers is a power that one day will rival even that of Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, himself!".

Shaman, Aurora, Sasquatch and Talsiman are in a search for their missing teamate Puck. He was kidnapped and it's their job to find out who did it and make them pay. Talisman finding the enterance of The Master's hideout, which was hidden between dimensional planes and locks onto the plane and it's intergrity and upon doing so she masks the presence of the team when they enter through the portal.

Alpha Flight #18 (Vol.1): Ranaq: The Devourer [Talisman I w/ Shaman]
This occurs right after Shaman beats the eggs, and they go up against the Great Beast itself. Talisman isn't Talisman yet, but her powers are starting to come alive. When exposed to magical energy on her first adventure with her father, she observed, "The pain is almost turning me inside out! And yet..I�m not dying! I�m fighting it! Resisting It! Growing stronger." She noticed that "its power is...flowing across me, like water from a garden hose. And I feel as though I can..hold it, shape it and return it". Even before she gained the Talisman of power the blasts they were exchanging they commented on how powerful these blasts were, "as the rampart power bristles and cracks across the room. Reality bends, warps, twists, screaming like a living thing stretched on a rack."

Alpha Flight #19 (Vol.1): Ranaq: The Devourer [Talisman I w/Alpha Flight]
After the first fight with Ranaq, the team must travel to the past and confront the beast there. Ranaq isn�t killed he later returns. For "there is no one in all the world with power enough to truely harness and control a Great Beast", Talisman holds her own making his power into hers and blasting him with his own power amped up. Talisman takes a shot from Ranaq that floors Snowbird and Snowbird was born to beat the Great Beasts.

Alpha Flight #27 (Vol.1): Talisman I
After Dark Guardian [Delphine Courtney] steals the unsuspecting Shaman's poutch in order to free Smart Alec. The machine turns the poutch inside out and since Shaman doesn't have control of it he goes out of control. If he was the one who turned it inside out he would have more control [shown in the Avengers scan]. So Talisman and Shaman have to work together, but unlucky for him he must decided to save either Snowbird who he and the rest of Alpha Flight returned back to her people [she lied and stayed with her husband on Earth] or his daughter. If she had experience she could have easily gotten out, but she just recently became Talisman. Alpha Flight is knocked out by Dark Guardian who they thought was the real Mac. Note: Talisman is set free from the Beyonder.

Alpha Flight #81 [Vol.1]: Spirit of Time and Space [Talisman I]
Regaining the Talisman, here she summons the Spirit of Time and Space and commands it to do her plan. She sends it to gather a depowered Aurora, Purple Girl/Persuasion, Laura Dean w/Gobyln and to send them to Asgard to get Northstar. After the Spirit gathers them, it makes sure Laura Dean's portal only opens to Asgard and no where else. Talisman could summon the Spirit of Death and kill you right on the spot.

Alpha Flight #37 (Vol.1): Pestilence (Part: 1/2) [Talisman I]
Snowbird is pregnant and they have to take her to a place of power in order to deliver the baby. However, Talisman set this up as a trap and her arrgoance became her weakness. Her hatred of her father and unwillingless becoming Talisman prevented her from fully unleashing her actual power. Thankfully later in the series she forgives her father and unleashes the full power of the Talisman. Major error Talisman powers work on ALL evil, not just spirits that's her powers and even without the Talisman she still has strong magical powers. Oh well it's a major error, but the writer at the time wanted to change the lineup.

Here the inexperienced Talisman's power is still so great she easily cancels Loki's spell that altered humans into gods. As noted her powers cancel out magic, even such as Loki's. She cancelled out the Fire Fountain. Loki's spell was destroying the magic in the land nearly killing Snowbird and Shaman, but his spell never worked on Talisman
