Turkey attacks Syria. Possible conflict with Russia may follow
https://www.rt.com/news/368601-erdo...ria-oust-assad/
Now, Turkish forces have already entered Syria in August. However, it was done under the pretense of taking care of ISIS. Now, Erdogan openly states that his objective is to get rid of Asad (for the greater good of Syrian peole, of course).
The problem is that Russia is supporting Asad very strongly, and Erdogan's actions are in direct opposition to Putin's policy in that region. There will be a clash of interests between two superpowers.
This may take a dark turn, I fear.

All of those middle eastern countries should have sent an army out against ISIS a long time ago. I think the combined military forces of these countries numbers in the millions. ISIS doesn't even seem to have 50,000 people and they are apparently using technology from the 70's.
To quote Palpatine: Wipe them out. All of them.
This had to be done sooner or later anyways.

I agree on ISIS issue. If these Middle Eastern countries were really into taking care of it, they would have. Russia truly wants to wipe out ISIS, not sure if Turkey really shares this resolution.
The problem that I see in that particular scenario is that for both Turkey and Russia Syria is just a plaything. They will clash over the issue of dominance in the region. This may get ugly.
