Psi Battle: Moondragon vs. Professor X!

Charles Xavier: Billed constantly as "Earth's most powerful telepath" for over 30 years, the mutant Professor X is a natural telepathic genius.
Top Feat: After spending months preparing in medative seclusion Xavier tapped the power of humanity's collective thoughts to repel an invasion by the alien Z'noxx.

Heather Douglas: Taken from Earth as a small child by the Eternals of Titan after Thanos slew her parents, Moondragon was schooled in the psychic and martial arts by an offshoot of the Priests of Pama, a Kree mystical sect with a history going back thousands of years. She was "first runner up" to be the Celestial Madonna (she lacked Mantis's humility).
Top Feat: Using her telpathic mind control to halt an ethnic/civil war that had engulfed the planet Ba-Banis for generations. Then, when he opposed her ruling Ba-Banis as their goddess, she slew the "immortal" Drax the Destroyer (who had for years played Tick-Tock Croc to Thanos's Captain Hook) with a psi-bolt.

No Cerebro etc. for the Prof. No Mind Gem for Moonie.
Lets get it on!

Moon Dragon.
She already used her power to make herself invisible from him, and I think her telepathy is magical in nature.

I'd say moondragon as well, he may be the most powerful on earth(is this still true?) but moondragon wasn't on earth, so I bet she could beat him

Id go for Professor X. Moondragon could have taken him easily with the mind gem but without no way. Hiding yourself from someones telepathy doesnt really say much actually peeps. Xavier would actually have had to have been scanning for Moondragon for it to be a valid point.

When Jeans mind travelled back in time to inhabit her body in her marvel girl days she was able to telepathically hide from Xavier and infiltrate his office because Xavier wasnt actually searching for her or intruders and also as marvel girl she shouldnt have been adept with telepathy so Xavier wouldnt have been expecting such high level stuff from her.

As it stands Xavier IMO would win in a psionic battle with Moondragon especially with her battling without her mind gem. Shes done nothing without her mind gem for me to think she'd win. Baldie goes down!!!! Thats Moondragon btw lol

I dunno, GS. The aformentioned takeover of that planet was without the mind gem. She also drove the the Dragon of the Moon from Titan single handendly without the Mind Gem. And longtime gem users always have some residual power increase after they give them up...

"Baldie goes down!!!" That's great. I probably should have called this "Bald Brain Battle"

Well Xavier has has bested the Znox armada by harnessing the total psychic might of the earths population and projecting it at them.

Xavier despite Magnetos manipulations of the electromagnetic fields (which gravely inhibits telepathy) still had the power to communicate with Jean on Asteroid M without cerebro . Xaviers psionic might was enough to take over and control the highly resisitant mind of the hulk. Hulk was his b*tch. Xaviers might was key in winning a battle with dark phoenix. Jean was helping him herself however its still a feat that he managed to defeat her.

And then of course in the "What If" comic (out of continuity blah blah) we saw what happened when Jean was not helping him. Dark Phoenix toyed with him. Tossed him aside like a used Stayfree.

*shrug*

I like Heather.

Very true, but then its obvious that if Jean didnt help him that he would have got murdered. Its still a feat nonetheless. Either way his feats are better than hers and he is held in higher acclaim in marvel for his telepathy.

Xavier toyed with Hulk
Moondragon killed and mindwiped Drax (back when he was smart)

So, just about even on that front.

This says what...?

Xavier could not even protect himself from Magneto's evil psyche (thus spawning Onslaught).

He also had to prepare for months to use the collective peoples of earth's thoughts. In Secret Wars he tried to force his way (with Magneto) through Galactus' default psionic barriers. Could not penetrate them.

Re: Xavier having more "impressive" feats, perhaps that is because Odin forced Moondragon to wear a dampener, not to mention that Uncanny is far more popular than The Defenders ever was?

Would be an interesting match nonetheless.

Moondragon's telepathy is of magical origins, which gives her the edge.

prof.X is earth's greatest natural telepath. But there are others from other places who can outclass him.

Even with the gem, Moondragon wasn't up to the task of taking on a certian mustached high order telepath in a mental battle.....evil face

Moondragon's gotten beaten even with the mind gem. I don't think she has the skill that Xavier has. The other thing that has to be considered is that we often see what TPs like Moondragon, Emma and Betsy do because they play hard, fast and dirty. TPs like Xavier and Jean operate in much more subtle ways. They rely less on power and more on skill. That would be Moondragon's undoing. She'd go at Xavier with guns ablazing, and he'd fry her ass because she'd be overconfident as always.

She's good, but she's not Xavier good.
