In just a race, Mad Max's modified/blown 73 Ford Falcon XB Coupe would be a whole lot faster than that 1977 POS Pontiac that only had 185hp; that's if it was a "K" code to begin with, it could very well have as little as 135hp. But I think it was a "K" code.
As far as a death race? Mad Max has shown to be able to hold his own in a drive-to-the-death against several other drivers, The Bandit hasn't.
