Just curious
I think I'm in a rut. Every time I put pencil to paper or brush to canvas I never get any father than a small portion of anything resembling something besides the white of the canvas. This is unusual for me, usually I do nothing but draw or paint. Could use some suggestions to get out of this, not really a practical thinker when it comes to things like this.

I have the same problem and I have really produced any worthwhile work for over a year now I find that looking at your fave artists and general stuff you have a big interest in helps for inspiration. also music can help. maybe, set yourself some small projects and do the research into it do some of your own versions of their work, work out some ideas of your own based around specific themes or structure.
most of all spend time with people that you find motivating and inspiring. carry a drawing insturments with you where ever you go, you never know when you'll get the urge to draw. generally just doddling when bored helps too.
I hope this helps you
