They Make a Living Dying

One of my favorite scenarios to run in Freedom Force is the Suicide Squad vs. the Secret Society. If government sanctioned villains were to square off with some major league bad guys, who would come out on top?

Rosters-

Suicide Squad:
Rick Flag Jr.- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Flag
Bronze Tiger- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Tiger
Captain Boomberang- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Boomerang
Count Vertigo- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Count_Vertigo
Deadshot- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadshot
Nightshade- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightshade_(comics)
Parasite- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasite_(comics)#Rudy_Jones
Captain Cold- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Cold
Dr. Light- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Light_(Arthur_Light)

Secret Society:
Gorilla Grodd- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_Grodd
Sinestro- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinestro
Trickster- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trickster_(comics)
Bizzaro- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizarro
Blockbuster- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockbuster_(comics)
Copperhead- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copperhead_(DC_Comics)
Cheeta (Classic)- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheetah_(comics)
Psycho Pirate- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psycho-Pirate
Sportsmaster- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sportsmaster

The villains imo, unless parasite can absorb both bizarro and sinestro very quickly...

Interesting, interesting. I thought that Sinestro might tip the scales a little, but Dr. Light, when not jobbing as tremendously as he has through a large part of his career, could possibly stalemate Sinestro long enough for the Squad to either win or lose regardless. I doubt that he could beat him...but he has had some really good showings against fairly powerful characters in his time.

So I'm not the only FFV3R player around here? Cool.

The version of Dr. Light that I have on FFV3R probably soloes the entire SS team, truth be told. Once he goes intangible it's Grodd and Psycho Pirate the only ones he'd have to worry about.

Intangibility, huh? I give him a solid light shield, but I may need to rethink that. Check out my pet project:

I would think that Grodd would be a pretty big threat to Light, though, even if he was able to put PP out of action.

I gave him both, I've seen this guy pull so much shit in comics that it's not even funny: Intangibility, Force Fields, Living Laser ability, Cloning...Gotta do a Respect Thread for him one of these days.

Hey man, nice MM wink That's another one of my Top Tiers, it sucks how DC keeps killing great characters just cause they're not A-listers.

Yeah, if Grodd uses Mental Damage on him he's toast, never mind the intangibility or the force fields. However, in a non Watch Mode scenario he should try and take out Grodd first.

True, true, Light would know Grodd well enough to go after him...I wonder, could Sinestro (outside of FF, perhaps) do anything to Light while he was intangible?

I feel the same way about DC. You can imagine how I feel since my favorite character is Aquaman....bah.

I don't think so, not to mention that in comics Dr. Light has a huge advantage against GL types:

Yeah, by all means try it, it's highly customizable as well. And almost every mesh, FX, hero file, etc you had for FF can be ported/adapted to FFV3R with little effort, it has even its own set of customizable attacks and attributes (FFX3) just like the 1st FF used to have.

Very nice scan there Premutos! That definitely puts the good Doctor in another light (please excuse the pun). In that case, it does seem like this fight is far more even than I had suspected.

Raoul, let me also encourage you to pick up FFvTTR, it is definitely worth the five bucks or so it might cost you. There are some REALLY incredible tools at our fingertips with this game. My little project is created with something called EZScript, which turns the previously incomprehensible (to me) world of Python Scripting necessary to create campaigns for the game into something that even someone with as limited time and technical expertise as myself can grasp.
