Hey guys, just wrote this. Tell me whatcha think.

"Knives"

Jeremy was always good with knives.

Little Jeremy, all grown up, out in the world like a big boy.
Things were going okay, he would say. Content, he would feel.
The voice in his head. The voice was his friend.
They made Jeremy's decisions together.

Then one day, Jeremy meets a girl.
And Jeremy, all grown up, falls deeply in love.
Jeremy falls for her eyes,
glinting like spotless diamonds in the sunlight.
Jeremy talked to her
For hours
And Jeremy was sitting on top of the world.
And then, one day,
Jeremy makes his move.
The voice,
That voice in his head,
doesn't say anything,
maybe he's gone.

But the girl,
doesn't like Jeremy.
Not in that way, the girl says.
Jeremy was upset.
The voice came back to him.

Now, Jeremy is okay.
At least, that's what he would say.
But nobody sees Jeremy anymore.
He just sits in his basement,
staring at a jar, with shiny things inside.

Shiny, like spotless diamonds in the sunlight.

Jeremy was always good with knives.
