A little qusetion about ROTK
i was reading the books and so far im on the last book.
The bit where gandalf has a meeting in a tent with Aragon and the council while he is in Gondor are they planning sum kind of assult on the Black gate? cuz im a bit confused lol, ifu dont wana tel me the info jus gimme a simple yes or no

only ting planed was to take land that belonged to Gondor and to win space of Mordor...and as dexx says they didn't know the conditions of the two hobbits

aragorn and gandalf
they basically decide to lay an assault upon the black gates in the hope that the hobbits are stil alive, thus drawing Saurons attention away from the route they are taking.
Coz at one stage Gandalf looks east and you get the feeling that he might just be seeing exactly where they are. and thus knows that he needs to draw the attention of Sauron and his forces away from the area frodo and sam ae in.
