Battles of Forbidden Destiny

In the land of “New Sorrow” there stood a tall, wide arena by the name of Forbidden Destiny. The outside of the arena was red and green, and large lights always surrounded it. The entrance was of wide bars that were only opened from the inside. As of now millions of registered fans are entreating entrance into this arena, to see the fights, and mainly the spilling of blood and the cries of suffering men.
Inside the arena was a large square-shaped field where those battles took place. On each of the four sides were elevator entrances for the competitors. There were also machines above the field that would surround the fighters with a force field so anything that happened in the fight could not reach the audience of people, and so that none of the competitors could run. Above the entire field were large bleachers where the audience and fans sat to watch the entertainment. Above the bleachers were speakers of which the announcers used. On the very top of the arena was a small rectangular room where the two announcers, Ivy and Debraski, sat with microphones hooked to them. Ivy and Debraski were hardly ever seen in person, nor were seen in the building they sat in since the room appeared to be pitch black. The entire area of the arena from the field up was of a sphere some-what.
Underground of the arena was a large prison where the competitors (or fighters) were kept. The people who fought in the arena weren’t volunteered; they were abducted and brought here to fight against their will. There were many different man-like species captured here. Many were humans, but some were man with a mixture of other animal instincts. Inside the prison, there was a cafeteria, a place for the prisoners to buy weapons and armor, a training room (where prisoners came for sparring with others), and endless rows of cell-rooms. In the cafeteria, 7 feet away from the entrance there were 25 rows of tables, with 80 in each row. On the far right side of the tables was a huge buffet area that had a variety of food selections. The silverware and plates were on both the left and right of the buffet section. On the far left of the tables was a Television that filled the entire wall it stood on. The television only showed what was happening outside the arena (such as fights), and when there was no fight currently in action, it would show what the future matches were. Before each prisoner was completely made part of the arena, they would obtain their name and status and rate what kind of skill level they felt they deserved. The skill level and cell number of the person would always appear on the screen if they were to have a next match. Next to the cafeteria entrance was the entrance to where prisoners purchased weapons and armor. Each weapon and armor had its own unique usage and was extremely helpful to most competitors in battle. Prisoners purchased these with coins they earned from their victories. The coins were called “gomas”. The average weapon costed about 500 gomas, although depending on the weapon the price rises. Armor was more expensive however. The average armor was about 3,500 gomas. On the other side of the weapons and armor place was the entrance to the “Training Room”. This is where the prisoners came to train, and spar with others to improve their skill for when it was their time to fight above. Just like the cafeteria, it was also a place where prisoners liked to socialize with their cell-mates and whatnot.
On the other side of the prison were the endless rows of cell-rooms. Each cell-room had its own number, and inside each were three durable beds, small TV’s that had the same service as the one in the cafeteria, large treasure chests for where the prisoners would be able to hold their earned rewards from battle, and nails on the walls for where to put armor and weapons. All the cell-rooms were censored with clear force fields that were controlled by a machine outside the cell-room. Each machine was handled by two guards that always stood alert at each cell-room. The guards were called “spectators”. The spectators were dressed in yellow clothing, complete with hoods, as if they were a part of a cult. They were armed with long spears and metal shields colored black. Spectators were in charge of most of the underground activity. When person in their cell wanted to leave, they would have to notify one of the spectators outside their cell first, and most of the time, they would be allowed to do so, only if they were going to one of the three places, or visit a cell member elsewhere. Plus, when an alternate cell member wanted to enter another’s cell, they would alert a spectator whom was guarding it and as long as it was for conversation only, they would let them enter. However, if it was for any other reason, the spectators would automatically turn the visitor away. Spectators were also the ones to wait guard the elevator use when prisoners were called to fight, and when a fighter was killed, they were the ones to dispose of the corpse.
Now, in cell number 347, there is a young boy looking to be the age of 11. He is wearing a black uniform from the torso down, though the knee pads he wears are green. His black hair stretches out over his forehead by 5 inches. His eyes are colored red. On the left side of him is a V- shaped blade with a handle on the bottom witch is connected to a chain about 15 feet long. His face is cut with a diagonal line with dried up blood. He is holding his left arm which is bleeding slightly. This is viewable as the left sleeve of the boy’s clothing is completely cut open. He knows that medical spectators would arrive shortly to take care of the problem, so he remains completely calm. The small TV in his cell shows two figures (both male) currently battling it out.
One of the figures is of a man whom is shirtless wearing only half torn shorts, and bleeding all throughout his body. His skin is completely pale, and his breathing is extremely heavy. He has a silver sword equipped in his left hand. The man is kneeled down and trying to pull himself up to his feet.
The other figure is of one whom is half fox, and half man, although not fully adult. The fox features included the fox-like ears, the frequently visible tail, the light brown fur surround the entire body, the sharp teeth, and mouth. He seemed to be one from the fox-men race. His eyes were a light blue color. The fox wore an orange shirt which was covered by a thin brown coat, and on the bottom, wore green thick pants. Te fox also wore white gloves. He also wore silver boots.
Over ground, in live view of the fight, the man struggled to pull himself up to his feet to his feet, as the fox simply stood there with his arms crossed grinning at the wounded man. The man now to his feet struggling, uncontrollably angry, lifted up his sword gripping it with both hands now, and rushed over within range of the fox. Now close enough, the man, with all the energy left in him, swung the sword horizontally to the fox, where his chest was. The fox noticed this and quickly shifted his upper body backward as this caused the blade to miss by inches. The fox then quickly shifted his body back upwards, and snatched the sword from the grasp of the weakened man. The sword now in the fox’s grasp, he quickly spun and sent a horizontal swing to the weak man’s neck. The man now to tired, and defenseless to react, was now decapitated within seconds as the blade from the fox connected. The fox saw the man’s head fall disengage from the body and fall to the ground as blood spilled from the open neck and followed, making a pool of blood in seconds. The body then fell backwards to the ground lifeless now. The crowd’s cheering above grew louder as they saw the winner. The fox lifted the blade and laid it on his left shoulder enjoying the crowd’s cheering, knowing he had won the battle. Debraski’s voice could be heard on the speakers. “And another spectacular win by the well- known Shadow Fox.”, implies Debraski as the crowd’s cheering still soared. “There have been no battle losses for Shadow yet. How long do you think he will continue this winning streak Ivy?” Now Ivy’s voice is heard in response to Debraski. “I have no idea Debraski”, she reveals, “but I feel sorry for the next competitor to be facing him.” “As do I Ivy.”, Debraski agrees. Shadow then walked to his elevator and descended back underground. Spectators came and carried away the body parts of the departed man.

It is revealed that Shadow way of battle was letting his opponent tire himself, and then finishing the job with one blow. However, when it came to the tougher opponents, he fought normally. Shadow was extremely fast with his feet. His favorite weapon was a light durable bow, of which he was always the best with using. When fighting without a weapon, he would mostly use his feet.
Moments later, back in cell-room 347, the young boy was seen with his arm getting treated by a medical spectator. “You should try and avoid the most lethal attacks.” the spectator said to the boy almost finished bandaging up his arm. The boy simply nodded to the medical spectator as he knew he was somewhat right about this. Afterwards he saw Shadow walk by, who was now heading for the cafeteria. The medical spectator had finally finished rapping up the boy’s arm in a bandage that stopped the bleeding. The medical stated that the bandage would be able to be completely removed in no less than 3 days, and then left the cell.
Meanwhile Shadow had mad his way to the cafeteria. It was filled with multiple other prisoners whom had all seen the fight as well, but were too hungry to give him gratitude. He then walked straight to the 12th table in the 5th row where his two cell-mates Andy and Ray, whom had just finished their meal, are already waiting for him. He sits on the left side of the table as the two others sit in front of him.
Ray was the younger brother of Shadow. His resemblance matched very closely to that of his brother except that his fur was a light grey. His eyes were the same color. He wore a white long-sleeved shirt, and a matching color of thin pants. It is revealed that Ray has the supernatural ability to generate electricity through his body, which gave him the power to fire shock waves, and shock his opponent. Also, like his brother, he was extremely fast, and due to his body constantly remaining electronically active, he had superhuman strength.
Andy was one to be with the vampire race. In his average appearance he was completely human, but he had the demon inside of him that he could activate anytime, which revealed the full appearance of a vamp, although he’s never had to unleash this demon recently. His hair was long and hung below the back of his head by 6 inches. His eyes were a red color. He wore small white T-shirt and thick brown pants, which were often covered by a thin trench coat he liked to wear often. When it came to combat Andy was good at judo. He revealed in time that he enjoyed countering failed attacks from his opponents. He favored a knife as a weapon more than anything else in battle. He also kept multiple smaller knives in his stock of which he used to distract, or weaken his opponent. A trait he learned from his dearly departed father.
Now in the cafeteria, Andy and Ray reveal how they both admired Shadow’s resent match. “Saw you dominate in that last fight bro.” Ray proudly stated. “But I knew it wouldn’t be a problem for you anyway.” Shadow let out a slight giggle. Andy revealed his side of the compliment as well. It was certainly the most entertaining of all the others we have seen of you.” Andy firmly informed to Shadow, whom is trying to be modest. “Well it wasn’t much of a challenge anyway.” Shadow confessed. “Another rookie is what they gave me. But I’ll say that I had fun with him.” I slight smile came over Andy. “Nevertheless, you won.” Andy concluded. “And now we are able to push on. Push on to future battles, more pleasant battles in your eyes Mr. Shadow.” Shadow chuckled a little at this, and a slight smile came upon Ray.
Meanwhile a male looking the age of 17 is being escorted down the cell-room hall by 4 spectators. The male had straight short white hair, which an eye color of dark purple. He wore a small short-sleeved black shirt under a thin purple coat that was connected to a cape that stretched down to nearly the heel of his feet. On his feet he wore black shoes. He had a sword put away on his back with a holder that was silver, long, and thin. He also had a white revolver to with him that was held on his left waste with a holder. His left arm was covered in a white cloth that was used as a cast.
The spectators had brought the male to cell-room 347. “Your new cell-room Mr. Niko.”, one of the spectators informed of him. The male’s name appeared to be “Niko”. As soon as Niko was seen sealed inside the cell, the spectators took their leave. Niko turned and saw the young boy whom still sat on the bed with his back against the wall. Niko looked around the room sending a slight nod to every aspect. “So this is room 347 huh?” he implied to himself as he finished wandering. He then turned to the silent boy and felt it right to introduce himself. “Hey there, name’s Niko and you?” The boy felt it right to answer. “I’m Daxter.” He responds softly. Niko went ahead and sat on an alternate bed. The next battle was shown on the TV screen. It revealed that next it was Ray to battle against Niko, along with their battle records, and cell numbers they were in. Niko noticed this immediately and a smile crossed his face. “I just never get a break do I?” he said to himself in a joking manner.
Meanwhile Shadow, Ray, and Andy are all in there cell, which number is 357. Shadow is standing with his back against the wall where his newly earned gomas sat inside a large brown chest, thinking, while Andy is engaging in conversation with Ray. Ray notices the next match on the television screen. “I’m to fight a guy named Niko next.” he said out loud to himself. “Best you prepare then.” Andy suggested firmly. Ray chuckled at Andy’s suggestion. “It’s only another rookie by the rating. I should be able to make quick work of him, with no problem.” Ray said over confidently. “Well I believe it wise to not underestimate an opponent Mr. Ray.” Andy suggested now a bit worried. “I never do.” Ray implied. “I’ll just go pay a visit to this Niko and let him know what’s coming to him then.” Ray leaves the cell room, and Andy grins at his slight over-confidence.

Meanwhile back in room 347, the TV switches to the audience outside the arena. Niko see’s the many people cheering, and anxiously awaiting the next match, which would be his. “Well that’s certainly a lot of people to be watching you in a death match.” He stated. “It could put a lot of pressure on you if. Especially if your new and have people boo you. Don’t you think so Daxter?” Daxter disagreed in a slight nod. “I only focus on my opponent when I fight.”, Daxter replied as Niko seemed a bit surprised at his words. Suddenly, Ray had entered the room. He seemed to already recognize Daxter and turned directly to Niko. “You must be Niko.” he employed smiling a bit. “Yeah I’m Niko” Niko confessed, “and who might you be? Ray smirked some now as he answered, “I’m Ray your next opponent.” “Niko chuckled a little. “I see” he said, “then I guess I should start practicing my taunts.” Ray seemed a bit insulted, and then noticed his covered arm. “With that arm of yours?” Ray stated now confident again. “That will slow you down. You wouldn’t get around fast enough for me. You won’t even have time to think of a taunt.” He overconfidently said. Niko smiled a little now. “Oh, you won’t have to worry about this arm pulling me back.”, he mysteriously employed. Ray suddenly butted in. “Ha. You just wait Niko, you’ll be crawling in pain, and I’ll make sure you’ll notice that right before I finish you.” He exclaimed with slight anger. “Whatever you say Ray.” Niko replied slightly annoyed. Ray then left the cell. Niko then pulled out his revolver and sat it on the left of the bed he sat in, keeping his silver sword with him. “I won’t be losing this.”, he said to himself. Daxter remained silent. The spectators outside could be heard discussing the next fight with excitement afterward. Moments later, above in the arena field both Niko and Ray are on their sides, waiting, and preparing for the battle at hand. “It’s time for the match you’ve all anxiously been waiting for.” Debraski’s voice says on the speakers. “Now, it’s Niko, the –day rookie, vs. Ray, semi elite.” Ivy’s voice then cuts in. “I hope this rookie lasts longer then the other did.”, she states. “As do I Ivy.”, Debraski agrees.
Now Niko has prepared by gripping his sword with his right hand, while Ray is just standing smirking at Niko. “Let the battle begin!” Debraski says as this now started the fight between the two. Ray quickly rushes into the range of Niko as he intends to submit a close offense, while Niko stands and guards with is sword. Now close enough, Ray charged his left hand with an electrical impulse now sending it straight towards the chest of the Niko. Niko quickly blocked the attack with the sword but as Ray’s electrical hand clashed with the sword, it pushes Niko back a few feet, making him loose balance and fall backwards to the ground. As Niko quickly came to his feet Ray shows off his superhuman speed by already appearing in the range of Niko behind him. Ray quickly took advantage of this and sent his left leg horizontally to Niko’s upper back, which had connected and sent Niko sliding on the ground face first. Ray laughed a little seeing this. Niko taken by surprise pulled himself to his feet as the white cloth that covered his arm was now slightly torn and dirtied, but the arm was still hidden. Niko’s face was now also dirtied. Now angered, Niko rushed over to Ray, as ray simply stood there and waited for him. Within range, Niko quickly sent a horizontal slash with his sword to Ray’s body. However Ray’s afterimage appeared behind Niko. Ray then charged his right hand with an electrical impulse as he then sent it to the side of Niko from behind. Niko quickly noticed this and shot his sword up blocking Ray’s hand. Niko then pushed Ray’s hand up with the sword, and quickly turned sending his left leg to his face. With Ray unbalanced from the push, Niko’s kick made an impact by pushing him a few feet back, however landing on his feet. Ray’s left check was revealed to be a bit bruised now from the impact. Ray was now slightly angered as he rushed back within range of Niko. Ray’s right was now charged with an electrical impulse now pushing it to the face of Niko now. Niko is able to act quickly by blocking this with his sword. Ray’s electrical impulse in his leg spread throughout the sword and into Niko’s body. In order for this to stop Niko had no choice but to loose grip of his sword, which he did. Afterwards Ray kicked the sword out of range within the tow on his side so that now Niko had no way of getting it back unless he was able to get through him. Niko now had to find a new strategy of attacking against Ray.
Ray smirked at Niko now as he pointed his finger from his left hand to him. He then fired an electrical beam that was head to Niko now. Niko quickly rolled out of the way of this. This was a distraction for him as Ray was seen now sending his electrically charged left hand to the chest of Niko. Niko had no choice but to block this with his covered arm. As he did the electrical impulse from Ray completely disintegrated the white cloth revealing that Niko’s left arm was fully metal. Ray seemed a bit surprised at this. With Ray’s electrified hand still pushing against Niko’s metal arm, the two were in now in a strength struggle. “You have a trick up your sleeve.”, Ray said still slightly surprised. Niko smiled a little. “Told you this arm wouldn’t be holding me back.” Niko replied back confidently. Niko then pushed his robotic arm forward with full force over Ray’s electrified hand that overpowered him and sent Ray flying with his body pointed straight. Before ray flew too far out of reach, Niko grabbed Ray’s leg and pulled him back towards him. Afterwards, he quickly took hold of Ray’s electrified hand, and held I down so Ray wasn’t able to defend with it. Then Niko quickly went for a lethal blow to Ray’s face that connected and sent him crashing hard to the ground head first. The ground suddenly formed a gap where Ray’s head landed. Niko then quickly gained the mount on top on Ray’s body and started multiple lethal blows to Ray’s face with his metal arm. Ray’s arm suddenly charged a huge electrical impulse that erupted and sent Niko flying off from Ray. Niko landed on his feet. Ray regained his footing, as it was revealed that his left eye was now nearly swollen shut, and his mouth was slightly bleeding from the blows he suffered to the face. Niko, wasting no time quickly started rushing over to Ray for offense again, but Ray extremely angered simply shot out his electrified arm which then fired a huge round shock wave. Niko quickly stopped to block, but the shock wave passed through Niko’s guard. After the wave faded, Niko’s clothes are seen half and his regular arm is half burnt and slightly bleeding. The same is with the legs. Niko is now struggling to stay standing. Ray decided to finish it by running into the range of Niko and sending his electrified arm to his jaw at full force. Niko unable to move from the shock wave was hit by this and flew back hitting the ground. Niko now laid on the ground unconscious. The crowd above cheered loudly at Ray. “And another spectacular win by Ray.”, Debraski says on the intercom. “Nothing will get in the way of this gladiator’s ambitions.” Ivy comes in. “I agree Debraski.” She says. “And Niko may have lost the match”, Debraski continues. “but what I way to fight.” “He certainly surprised me.” Ivy agreed. Ray stood over the body of the unconscious Niko now. He decided to let the male live as his right arm reverted back to normal.
Moments later, back in room 347, Niko is seen lying on the bed. The parts on his skin that were burnt were bandaged, as was his human arm. It is revealed that Daxter was the one to treated Niko’s wounds. This was because the other medicals were busy with other wounded competitors. In room Ray’s room, Ray is seen with the same concept. His brother Shadow treated his wounds as well. And Andy brought Ray back some of his favorite food from the cafeteria. Andy and Shadow seeing the skills that Niko had in the fight with Ray figured that he would be able to help them in escaping from the arena. Ray agrees to this, and meets with Niko in the cafeteria alone. He informs him that in the arena, if a fighter is good enough, and survives long enough here, they are taken from the arena to a lab that would experiment on them and use them as a weapon in battle, mainly for a war. Ray is unsure what that certain war is, but he knows it can’t be good. He then reveals that is why both him and his cellmates need Niko’s help in order to escape the Arena. Niko immediately agrees to help after hearing the back-story, as does Daxter as he himself believed that he was going to win freedom from the arena if he kept fighting. Ray introduces Andy and his brother Shadow to Niko and Daxter and the 4 get along well. The 5 competitors now band together in order to hatch a plan on how to get themselves out of the arena, along with anyone else they can help, and their path for escape of Fate begins.
