Judge Dredd could be a great movie if it wasn't made all stupid and cheesy. Wait for Darren to finish up robocop and call him to direct the next judge.

Looks don't matter so much, because if they are true to the character, he doesn't take off the helmet & visor. They screwed that up early with the Stallone version, feeling their expensive movie star needs to show his face often. The voice and build matter more.
^And yeah, Ron Perlman is another good idea. He's spent most of his career in heavy makeup - a helmet & visor won't trouble him.
