Because that's where something interesting happened. That's the interpretation that people got from it, which was reported. Again though, it is one case, it shows no deep seated anything. There was no reason to publish the incident. There is no reason why this murder should get more attention than any other, except that it happened in a courtroom, which is odd, though not unheard of at all.
For the rest of Europe there's 0 reason to have an article of it.
