What would you think of a live-action CGI Legend of Zelda movie based on the popular Nintendo video game made for the NES back in 1987 and created by Sheguri Miaymoto? Link, Princess Zelda, Ganon, Impa, Sprit, the King of Hyrule, Tingle, Link's grandfather and all the Hylias in the ancient land of Hyrule? I think with a good script put together and the right crew it would be just as good as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I would get Peter Jackson to direct The Legend of Zelda.
It would. But it would be horrible if they make it awful. They make movies from Ninteno games in the past.Did not do any good but those movies to me were really good!
So if they are doing "Halo" then why not Zelda?JM
Not if I played Link. Just give me a blond wig, knight garmit, a hat thats like Link's and the Master Sword and I'm ready to go. I know who would be the best choice to play princess Zelda..... none other then Kirsten Dunst (MJ).

Hilarious... due to the more, natural settings, and ears aside, human characters, I'd MUCH rather a live action movie, perhaps based around Ocarina of Time with a lot of the other good stuff thrown in...
It could be totally awesome if they go all out on it... find a really good kid... they don't make enough movies about little BOYS anymore, any movie starring kid always has some little blonde girl at its center.
Zelda would be an awesome movie, but only if done right... If someone does plan on making a movie of it, they should ask Zelda fans opinions that way they would get a good idea of what the audience wants...and hopeful keep it from being a joke or something.

I've always thought a Legend of Zelda if done right would be a superb thing to watch at the cinema. It would be lengthy though, like Epic 2 hrs, 45 min to 3 hrs epic. What with all the "growing up" and "time traveling" or world changing things that happen in the series? They could use the similar plot lines that have been used in the games, but I would also like to see something brand new. Also not sure if they could get the right kid to swing a sword and make it look like he half way know what he's doing? It may look better in CGI. That way some of the monsters could be done and not make them look like they are seperate from the movie if it were live action and the monsters done in CGI? Know what I'm saying? I think a live action Castlevania would be pretty awesome too, but would have to be done right! The smallest things could screw them up really bad!

Actually, asking the fans what they want is a bad idea, as they will feel pressured to put whatever it is into the movie [and don't think that wouldn't happen], plus most of the suggestions would either be obvious inclusions or worthless crap that's just going to take up screen time. Also if it's made based solely around the fans than it won't be as sellable to the rest of the people going to see the movie, which would make it a flop. I am a huge fan of the series, but i think fan suggestions would be bad for the movie......if it ever get's made.

ok so, the two things i love most... startrek and zelda
and i think a zelda cgi movie would be a great idea, however
i think that the Ocarina of Time should the basis of the movie for a few reasons
1. it is a pivitol point in zelda history, and is one of the earlierst games in the timeline
2. has more character devolopment compared to earlier zelda games
3. The story is fexable enough that an exciting movie could be made
4. it can just be based off the games world and characters it doesnt nessesarily have to re-tell what happened in the game
i site Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
as an example of a great video game with a great sequal cgi movie
