Comcast/TimeWarner Accused of Soliciting Artificial Bandwidth Speeds on Speedtest.com
it's more of an excercise than a topic
it's social media level "news" atm, but the accusation is that comcast and time warner have been throttling customers while allowing top priority to speedtest.com, the most popular bandwidth benchtest site. so presumably the throttling ceases when they utilize speedtest.com. also it's being said that netflix (the owner of the newer fast.com) made that site for the sole purpose of f*cking over comcast and time warner (lol)
and now, the excercise: if you are a comcast or timewarner customer, and would like to verify/refute this, please do. i have another provider which proved to be consistent on both sites.
