Jonathan Osterman
In a battle to dictate who is the true master over matter/energy. Jonathan Osterman takes on Philip Solar.
And for Odins sake, NO this is not the Mega Powerful version of Solar that wrecked/created the Multiverse in Valiant/Acclaim run. This is Dark Horse version of Solar.

If CIS is on, will Dr. Manhattan even fight?
And even if he does, maybe he's supposed to lose, and so he'll lose. That's the problem with his character, he's about as useful as the classic, especially early 90's Guardians of the Universe.

Vice versa maybe he's supposed to win so he'll win... btw I'm not saying I think Manhattan wins just that saying something like he see's the future in which he loses is why he'll lose in a forum fight is a stupid argument.

Not unless he already did. Or didn't.

Manhattan was written wrong. His personality should have been more like Wolverine's.

What has Solar done to show that it IS POSSIBLE to beat Dr. M?

Dimensional BFR. Energy absorption.

Dimensional BFR ok
Energy absorption not ok since Dr. M can absorb energy too and duplicate himself an indefinite amount of times.
With that said, Solar wins then.

What has Dr. M done that makes it questionable whether Solar, or any high herald, can beat him?
He's only faced non powered characters. And he even had a limit to how many missiles he could protect America from. A much weaker pre god Valiant Solar single handedly defeated an alien invasion...

Based on feats, Solar's energy absorption >> Dr. M's.
Glad you're siding with Solar, though.

Solar, as a lot of people have stated like The Endless, Manhattan was more about perception and presence in the story than action

What was one of his biggest absorption feat?

again on the other hand there is nothing that says he isn't capable of crushing high heralds. Also I swear if one more person brings up the idea of his concerns over not being able to stop the nukes from falling I will beat them with a spoon. That particular statement is based purely on his vision of the future being blocked rather than anything saying that he was incapable of stopping all the nukes.

Irrelevant.
I can be the weakest character in the universe but unbeatable.

Is that reboot Solar?
Haven't picked it up yet. Jim Shooter still got it? I thought the Valiant run jumped the shark after he stopped writing it...

About that:
Isn't it the same Solar?
Like I said, I haven't actually followed new solar, but I thought it was supposed to reboot the franchise, but also continue it.. Basically picked up where Valiant left off.
