Challenge:

Name 5 people in the Marvel 616 Universe that could beat Tiamut one on one for the majority.

(Excluded: TOAA, Fulcrum (not sure if they are one in the same or not), Living Tribunal)

Also excluded: Using the UN, HOTU, Infinity Gauntlet, or infinity gems.

Actually, I think Fulcrum said that Tiamut was the most powerful Celestial that ever existed. Then at the end when he "ascended", Fulcrum said "your power equals mine." Which is kind of a strange thing for an all powerful entity to say.

If Exitar was more powerful then the Fourth Host, then he was easily more powerful than Tiamut.

It could also be attributed to Gaiman forgetting about Exitar too.

Assuming this is the "normal" version of Tiamut (not Fulcrum etc.), then...

Eternity
Infinity
Death
Oblivion
Classic Beyonder
Classic Molecule Man
MoD
MJJ

and possibly

adult Franklin
HoM Wanda
defragmented Legion

Top science dudes also have a chance if they are given lots of prep time.

Wasn't Tiamut a part of the 3rd host , not the 4th ?

Actually I think Knauf was the writer when Tiamut ascended with Fulcrum. But I believe Gaiman also implied that Tiamut was the most powerful Celestial as well. I see Exitar as more of a weapon that the Celestials program, whereas Tiamut seemed to transcend Celestials completely.

But whether the writer forgot about Exitar or not we can only speculate, the on panel evidence is that Fulcrum (who is arguably (well probably) the TOAA, and the supreme being in the Marvel universe), called Tiamut the most powerful Celestial that ever existed. That's what we have to go by, unless some other writer writes something else.

Judging by the characters that were mentioned by most of the posters in this thread, it seems like Tiamut is regarded as a top-tier abstract.

I think the Cosmic Compass (Oblivion, Eternity, Infinity, Death), Galactus, or IB are powerful enough to kill him.
