Only thing that concerns me in the trailer is that narration. Reminds me of that pulpy, tough guy narration from Avatar by Sam Worthington.
Otherwise, this is like my TV afternoons as a kid all over again, watching Starvengers, Gaiking and all the rest of the Giant Mecha vs. Monsters genre.

I dislike Del Toro because none of his films have struck me as a good idea for a film. Mimic, Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, all mediocre ideas. This one is no different. Perhaps even the worst yet, but it's almost certain to make millions from apparent nostalgia and big special effects.
And maybe because of the SciFi/Fantasy subject matter, it actually belongs in this forum.
(I read through some of that thread - it degenerated into mud-slinging a long time ago.)

I know, but since there's no real order here anymore, stuff usually just gets better attention in the Movies forum. This forum is largely ignored, much to my chagrin (seeing as it's my favorite genre).
