KMC Forums - Our new music video: All In

Thought I'd share our latest music video, that we produced at Polar Films Entertainment. A video commercial company, that I run, with a friend of mine, here in The Faroe Islands.

We have done everything ourselves, along with one member of the band, J�annes Lamhauge, the first guy to appear. So essentially a three man project.

This was done over the course of a couple of months, being very set back by the faroese winter, which is nothing but rain and wind 24/7. We were actually very lucky to get those final scenes in, as it was infact the last good day in 2013, which was nov.25th.

I was a little unsure where I should post this, as it is a music video. The video production is ours, but we have not had any say, so to speak in the actual song production.

I would be more interested, in what you guys think of the actual video.

Before you watch it, as foreigners to us. it would perhaps be best to explain a few things first:

The lyrics are essential about love making. It is an old classic, that the band decided to put in a new shape, and update. We decided that the video needed to be more than just about love making.

The story in the video, takes place during World War 2: While not having a direct German invasion occour here in the Faroe Islands, we did get a quite heavy British occupation during the period, to prevent Germany from getting a strong foothold in the north atlantic. Most of our economy was, as it still is today, fishing exports. During the war, we provided as much fish to the allies as we could.

Most of the male population was working on smacks (wooden ships with sail) During the summer, work on the land ofcourse had to be taken care of aswell.

Most people lived in smaller villages with populations around 100-300 or so. Alot of good men were lost during the war, due to german submarines, mines and air raids. I believe that I once read, that in terms of population %, we have the highest number of dead at sea. Most which occured during the war.
