This means that when the bell rings, Thor will have no idea where my character is, not that it matters, as he is SO much slower than me, I could win this match ten times before he even conjures a thought.
(For reference, that’s J’onn dragging an opponent from Mars to the Sun in a handful of seconds. It takes light 12 minutes and 41 seconds to cover that distance. Even if we lowball and say it took J’onn 20 seconds, which it clearly didn’t, that puts him at AT LEAST 38 times the speed of light. Keep in mind, he is also mindraping his opponent at the VERY SAME TIME, so my attack on Thor will be essentially instantaneous.)
So, obviously I am going to attack Thor telepathically the instant the match begins, at a speed Thor cannot even comprehend. Now, Thor has a history of being vulnerable to telepaths, ones far less powerful than J’onn himself. Remember, J’onn is a telepath on a galactic scale, even when he’s multi-tasking.
See how casually he scans a galaxy? Keep in mind that at this point, J’onn has also been keeping both the Key and Prometheus in comas for YEARS, 24/7, without a break. Hell, Prometheus only awoke when J’onn died-
-All while keeping two master criminals, one a VERY powerful telepath, under his mental control. Hell, when J’onn took on the Legion, he’d been imprisoned in a flaming cage for MONTHS prior, and was heavily drugged and weakened. STILL they would have lost to him, if not for Libra.
What does this mean? That J’onn literally shuts down Thor’s mind before he realizes the match has begun. And if SOMEHOW that wasn’t the case, he can then use his overwhelming speed advantage, one that allows him to tag the Flash, even after HOURS of being aflame-
-to straight up beat Thor down. After all, Thor can’t touch or see J’onn. He can’t react to him, and J’onn is more than capable of combining a physical assault with his superspeed and telepathy. Thor literally has no chance of overcoming such a potent combination. He’s fighting an invisible, superfast ghost who can hit him, but can’t be hit, and is also penetrating Thor’s meagre psychic defences with ease. Mutant has no viable response to this. Thor has some great raw power, but as has been proven time and again, when it comes to the rest of the herald tier, he is a slow and ponderous oaf.
To the point where Orion, Superman, Flash and Wonder Woman working together cannot bring him down. So when he’s mindraped Thor, and hit him with a thousand Superman-rocking punches before a single second has passed, all that’s going to be left of my opponent is a bloody, brain-dead smear.
This match goes to the Martian. The Blunder God just can’t compete.
Since this tourney final is 10+ months in the making, let’s get right to it. Martian Mind as always is a very worthy and dangerous opponent, especially seeing that he’s repping namesake.
So with 5 sec prep, Thor readies his storm of fire and thunder above the battlefield to be used instantly.
Match starts and immediately Thor makes it rain fire and lightning without mjolnir. Notice how he does this while fighting Black Berserkers and carrying a bomb, after being tortured and enslaved for days. This was also on a barren world where other gods couldn’t create storms. https://imgur.com/B45e0Qi https://imgur.com/0Ai5rx4 https://imgur.com/pt8xErY
I’m sure everyone knows about MM’s weakness to fire, but here are a few examples to show how quickly he become weak and powerless in its presence. https://imgur.com/Ecrh3WM
During Salvation Run, some 2nd and 3rd rate fire theme villains koed him with fire blasts. From there all it took to keep him powerless was a cage of fire. Here the entire battlefield of the Savage Land will become one huge inferno due to Thor’s lightning and fire storm from the start. https://imgur.com/TFNQwZZ https://imgur.com/cRfPJRH https://imgur.com/BNcQXhP
“I AM….WEAK. THERE IS MUCH PAIN.” These words should be inscribed on J’onn J’onzz tombstone. https://imgur.com/EBOoE30
Remember it’s just not fire which alone is more than sufficient to incapicitated him, but also magical lightning.
What is Thor the god of again? (please log in to view the image)
And he doesn’t even need a magic word. (please log in to view the image)
The battlefield here is the Savage Land which will be bombarded by lightning strikes and raining fire. Thor easily has global range for his storms. https://imgur.com/STFHLK8
He creates huge bolts even as just a side effect, with his attention on more pressing matters lol. Meaning he doesn’t have to concentrate that hard to send lightning and to control the weather. https://imgur.com/Ig5oAt0 https://imgur.com/Dkg3qLB
Thor’s lightning can hit intangible targets like Dracula in his mist form. Notice how he uses mjolnir to set up Dracula. MM cannot run or hide from this AOE attack even while intangible. https://imgur.com/bOQG8ed https://imgur.com/25UE2Jt
Again he still has to retain some mass and cohesion to keep his molecules together while intangible. Going intangible doesn’t help him in any way from Thor’s attacks. https://imgur.com/g2TP1Zi https://imgur.com/dDdZf0i
Remember Thor is not using mjolnir to bring down the fire and lightning, he’s doing that all on his own. So what is mjolnir doing, going on a seek and destroy mission of MM. Mjolnir can track even to alternative planes of reality, hit intangible targets, and move as fast as it needs to. At this point, I don’t know what will take down MM first, the mystical lightning, the fire raining down, or mjolnir. One thing is first certain, he is not surviving three attacks where any one of them is more than enough to ko him. https://imgur.com/p8fl4f5 https://imgur.com/bZ0ZLVi https://imgur.com/ZtX42DB https://imgur.com/KLffIUp
So not only will Thor’s lightning hit MM even when MM is intangible but also mjolnir, and as seen already fire affects MM in that state as well.
I’m pretty sure MM is going invisible and intangible for his prep. Then he will attack with TP. But he is already severely weakened from just seeing the rain of fire come down on him, plus Thor is resistant to TP. Phoenix 5 Emma Frost found that out the hard way. https://imgur.com/winmvgx
On the other hand, MM had to flee from WWIII Black Adam’s mind and spent the rest of that arc basically having a nervous breakdown until the last issue. https://imgur.com/a/iEVNf0k
So with MM well established weakness to fire plus how Black Adam’s lightning has owned him, Thor wins this with no sweat really. And that’s not counting mjolnir tracking down MM and koing him.
This BZ is pretty straightforward, MM has a significant weakness to fire and magical lightning which Thor will exploit at the very start by making it reign down fire and lightning. At the same time Mjolnir will track and incapacitate MM. Thor has a consistent history of TP resistance, while MM will be quickly weakened and defeated.
J’onn must really be rubbing off on me, since it seems I read Mutant’s mind. His strategy is bold, yet it instantly falls flat based on two simple facts.
1). J’onn is underground as soon as the match begins. He can rain all the fire and lightning he wants, it’s not going to be anywhere near me.
2). More importantly, it is a strategy that depends ENTIRELY on him outreacting J’onn. Which, as I have comprehensively proven, is completely impossible.
To summon the lightning, Thor needs to think. An impossible task, when someone COUNTLESS times faster than you has launched a mental attack that you have no chance of resisting. Not one of the telepaths Mutant showed stack up to J’onn, nor do the telepaths who HAVE dominated Thor’s mind.
So, we do know that Thor’s mind can be crushed if the telepath possesses enough power and skill. Remember, J’onn was keeping the Key, another telepath strong enough to read the minds of MILLIONS, stuck in a coma, for YEARS. All while performing telepathic feats on a galactic scale.
Thor ends up a vegetable before he realizes that the match has begun. Even if he doesn’t, he’ll be too busy fending off the telepathic assault I mount to launch any offence. Beyond that, there is NO offence available to him that will harm J’onn, who has safely phased into the earth.
Now, as for Black Adam “repelling” J’onn, my opponent has conveniently forgotten some important context, I.E, the fact that Adam was
1). Amped by Isis.
2). Had literally spent an entire day slaughtering millions.
It was that fact alone which overwhelmed J’onn. It says so in the scans. So, unless Thor gets to go on a prolonged murder-spree prior to the match, it is entirely irrelevant. The Kanto scan is similarly irrelevant, as Kanto isn’t in this fight. Thor is, and as I’ve shown, he is vulnerable to telepathy, especially when it is attacking him at speeds he can scarcely comprehend, and accompanied by an invisible beatdown that he can in no way react to. Just look at every scan of Thor resisting TP. In it, he and his opponent remain still, allowing him time to fight, to retaliate. J’onn will give him no such luxury. As I proved in my first post, J’onn can grapple, shapeshift and mindrape simultaneously, while moving at AT LEAST 38 times the speed of light. If Thor hesitates for even a millisecond (which he will), that gives J’onn the time to shatter every bone in his body. Remember, a single White Martian could lap the world several times over before a single vase fell one foot-
So, it is indisputable that in this quickdraw match (which Mutant has foolishly made it) I will be the one who strikes first. Hell, at this stage, it is dubious that even if Thor could manage to throw Mjolnir before my attack (he can’t), the hammer itself would lack the speed to reach J’onn, who again, isn’t just limited to phasing. He can easily shapeshift himself to avoid incoming attacks as well.
-so there is virtually no chance of Mjolnir or Thor EVER connecting their shot. J’onn on the other hand? iIf he gets tired of mindraping, he can zoom in with some superfast, Superboy Prime rocking shots (see above), before Thor even knows what hit him. Which, I suppose is another point worth mentioning, as J’onn is no slouch in the strength department. As I’ve shown, he can grapple with Wonder Woman, Orion and Superman simultaneously, and has made the Man of Steel bleed with a single punch-
So yeah, he only needs one good shot, maybe two, to completely rock Thor’s world. By the time the Nordic imbecile realises he’s in a fight, J’onn could have landed a million. Which leads us to the Summary:
1). Mutant made this a quickdraw match against a character who is IMMEASURABLY faster than he is. Therefore, I win.
2). His backup strategy of attacking remotely with Mjolnir is doomed to fail, due to a combination of speed, shapeshifting and phasing. There’s also the small fact that I will be taking him down before he ever actually has the chance to throw it.
3). Even if he somehow manages to execute the lightning and fire strategy, I negated that from the start by phasing down into the earth, providing myself with shielding.
4). His main scans of argument (Black Adam) possess highly extenuating circumstances, and on top of that, clearly show that if J’onn had not stopped to talk, Black Adam would have had no chance. This is a tournament match. J’onn isn’t going to stop for a f*cking dialogue, lol.
5). I have countered every strategy Mutant has put forward, to the point of complete negation. He, however, has no counter for my ferocious combination of speed, strength, telepathy, shapeshifting and phasing, which I have comprehensively proven that J’onn can and WILL use in concert.
The answer, therefore, is simple. J’onn wins this match, without Thor ever
realizing that the battle has begun.
So this battle has gone exactly as I predicted. Given the scans that Martian Mind has shown, there can be no doubt that we both agree J’onn is very vulnerable to fire. Also, since I have more scans to show let’s figuratively and literally roast the Martian Manhunter some more.
I’m surprised that Martian Mind would show the Tower of Babel scan of Wonder Woman and Flash confronting a burning MM in the forest. All MM did was grab a log from WW which struck the Flash who was running backwards in the previous panel and was showing off. The main thing is that MM had been on fire for hours in the forest unable to use TP and just running around mumbling gibberish. He was unable to use his powers and begged WW and Flash to help him. Then he was put into a recovery tank. Again MM’s epitaph should at least have “Help Me!” inscribed on it, because no one begs for help more than him. And Martian Mind showed a scan from this comic to help him case lol. https://imgur.com/a/GpT8MeV
Being attacked by fire makes it very hard for MM to even think, much less use TP. https://imgur.com/aRzjmYp
One fire blast from Etrigan easily incapacitates MM to the point where Dr. Occult has to save him. https://imgur.com/a/OO8uhom
Asmodel (disguised as a kid) kills MM with a fire blast. MM is later brought back to life by the Flash's use of the speed force. https://imgur.com/a/tuli81E
Asmodel on different occasions gives MM significant damage from his fire blasts. A burnt and smoldering MM has to be saved by Superman. https://imgur.com/a/TlTmDlX
Lobo quickly takes down MM with an incendiary grenade. All MM can do is scream out FIRE while getting fragged lol. https://imgur.com/K2Pwvb5
MM is unable to penetrate Manchester Black’s mind and is taken down again by…….wait for it--fire. https://imgur.com/wqgLqFj
So this is MM's worst nightmare, as Thor has turned the whole battlefield into a raging inferno from the lightning and raining fire from the onset.
I have already shown instances of MM’s telepathy failing and below is another one. Superman is willingly wanting MM to probe his mind, but MM is forced out and made to physically fall back. MM’s TP is far from infallible and has been stopped by those like Thor with strong TP resistance. https://imgur.com/a/NgT36aQ
Lol Thor has resisted all of them and broken free of their mental attacks.
Moondragon (multiple times)- Blood and Thunder Thor’s rage was so strong that even Moondragon’s mind blast being amped by the mind gem couldn’t even slow him down. Kind of like how Black Adam’s rage made MM basically wet himself and fly into space. https://imgur.com/ZVVJZ6a
Thor breaks free from Moondragon and the goddess's mental control during Infinity Crusade. Thor has a strong will which at the very least will allow him to resist mental control long enough to counter with lightning and raining fire down. Which is already happening at the very start. https://imgur.com/hZqKG9L https://imgur.com/kH37V5k
Not only that but Moondragon was unable to withstand the Stranger’s mind blast, but Thor did. He “weathered the mind-storm.” https://imgur.com/X2RGq3a
Loki- in Martian Mind scan it wasn’t even TP but hypnosis with Thor foolishly gazing at the sun’s reflection of his hammer into his eyes. I know it sounds dumb to me too, needless to say Thor won’t be hypnotizing himself here with mjolnir.
Anyways Thor has cast Loki out of his mind. Loki is always trying to trick and mentally influence Thor which means MM is nothing that Thor hasn’t routinely bested. https://imgur.com/XWuE5hM https://imgur.com/EnMuo8P
The Puppet Master needed Radion to add his power to the radioactive clay statue of Thor to briefly control Thor. Also Thor was only controlled because his guard was down and his mind distracted by Jane Foster being very ill. Even with all that, Thor still breaks free from the Puppet Master influence under his own power. Of course here Thor’s mind is not going to be distracted and he will be on guard. https://imgur.com/a/FD8byRX
There is no speed advantage here because Thor is doing area of effect attacks and using mjolnir which as previously shown can go to the edge of the galaxy and back in less than 60 seconds. Plus most MM speed feats shown are just travel feats and he is instantly weakened from the fire surrounding him.
Martian Mind made a huge tactical error by going underground. The battlefield here is the Savage Land, not the ground beneath it. So to mentally attack Thor, MM will first have to come up out of the ground unless he is going to self bfr. Which means Thor will already have a raging inferno waiting for him, mixed in with magical lightning and a many times ftl mjolnir speeding towards him. It’s not like dirt can stop mjolnir or the aoe attacks anyway.
Judges please notice how I am only using Black Adam’s magical lightning which comes from the egyptian god Aton and Black Adam’s strong willed mental resistance as examples. It has nothing to do with any amp or power from Isis. https://imgur.com/gPlAQSV
Even MM stated that the Black Adam “called down fire from the heavens” (lightning) to gain victory last time. As shown below this lightning can sever the link of MM’s telepathy. Which is the same thing that Thor will do here. Another defense to MM’s telepathy besides his own resistance. https://imgur.com/Eupgfk4 https://imgur.com/8x5ikjU
After the bell rings, MM has to come up from the ground (or risk a self bfr), then he will find a raging inferno and many lightning strikes awaiting him. This will render him powerless and mjolnir especially a flaming mjolnir will finish him off if necessary. Martian Mind made sure that MM never gets the chance to use TP or touch me by going underground doing prep. We fight in the Savage Land not beneath the Savage Land lol, a grave error that Martian Mind cannot come back from.
Alright, let’s wrap this bad boy up. To start off with, let’s just address the steaming mess that is this post-
This is irrelevant, as you never had the chance to summon fire or lightning. Every time Thor has shrugged off Telepathy, it has taken time or effort. Which means even if you did escape my initial assault, which I remind you, is happening MILLIONS of times faster than you can react (A fact Mutant has tried to ignore), you still won’t have summoned anything. Also, I am SO MUCH faster, that you will never get the chance. The Tower of Babel scan shows that even if J’onn is on fire, he can still react to Flash and grapple with Wonder Woman, which puts a weakened MMH in a physical tier that Thor would struggle to compete against. Also, I have phased safely into the earth. Your fire and lightning (which will never actually be summoned) couldn’t reach me, if it did exist.
Which it doesn’t.
So, J’onn being cast out of one of the strongest minds in comics while doing a friendly scan is somehow evidence for Thor? I’ve shown J’onn breaching and erasing Superman’s mind when he wants to. Him getting cast out while doing a favour is not the same thing as him forcing his way in.
Here J’onn breaches the mind of Superman, Batman and Hal Jordan, all from a world away, in the middle of dying, after months of torture, seconds after he’s mind raped the entire Legion of Doom, including Gorilla Grodd-
Take note of these scans, Judges, as they prove my point. Not one of these telepaths is J’onn’s level, yet all of them took effort from Thor to shake off. Hell, against the Goddess and Moondragon, it specifically mentions that it was Blood and Thunder Thor, I.E him in an altered mind-state, and thus irrelevant to this discussion. What IS relevant is that Moondragon dominated STANDARD Thor, whom Mutant is using. The fact that Puppet Master was amped is likewise moot, as J’onn possesses mind control far beyond him. Remember how he was keeping the Key, who can read millions of minds, in a coma? Remember how he mindraped Grodd? Hell, J’onn can floor MAXIMA (herself an extremely capable telepath) AND THE ENTIRE JUSTICE LEAGUE, while enjoying a cup of tea-
How many times does J’onn have to show that he is beyond ANY telepath Thor has encountered? J’onn’s closest rival in Marvel would be Xavier (Who is still nowhere near him), and do you know what happened when Thor came up against him?
He got put to sleep. Why? Because it takes Thor a supreme effort to beat mid-tier telepaths. So a top-tier like Xavier ragdolls him. J’onn? He literally makes other top-tier telepaths his *****. Remember when he told Aquaman to step aside and let the big boys handle it?
J’onn is far above the nobodies Thor has struggled to repel, and those who have dominated Thor, thus there is NO QUESTION that he can put the Asgardian to sleep, and prevent him from launching any attack. Now, let’s turn our attention to my opponent’s feeble attempts to address my OTHER advantages.
So, this is your argument to the speed advantage? You realise that to initiate these AOE attacks Thor has to move and think, right? As I have conclusively proven, not only will you be incapable of thinking or moving due to my telepathy, but you also lack the reaction speed to outgun a serious J’onn. Thor is sluggish compared to the likes of Mongoose, whereas a weakened J’onn can react to the Flash and blitz White Martians (Who likewise react at Flash levels). I will have attacked you before a single neuron fires in that brain, which I will already be telepathically shutting down. And AGAIN, even if you somehow succeeded, I have already made myself safe by phasing into the earth, which leads us to this most HILARIOUS argument-
How desperate can you get?
I am not BELOW the ground of the Savage Land, I am INSIDE it. Or are you seriously trying to argue that the ground on which the ENTIRE battlefield rests is somehow not a part of that same battlefield? Honestly Mutant, I expect better from you.
As for the rest, again, my attacks are happening a lot quicker than yours. Also, you have in no way proven that Thor can simultaneously summon fire and lighting, while also directing Mjolnir to hunt down and track a phased, invisible and superfast opponent, who is attacking with telepathy beyond any he’s ever encountered. This entire argument is ridiculous. Entertaining though, I admit.
Trying to ignore the whole ‘the despair of the millions you killed’ aspect, again, eh? Judges, remember, as I’ve shown, Adam had the edge due to his murder-spree, a luxury Thor lacks. And whether Mutant intends the amp or not, the fact remains that Adam WAS amped, and thus the showing is irrelevant.
Where does this show lightning severing the link between telepathy? Is it in the numerous scans you cut out from this exchange, in order to deceive the judges? Here’s the full scene.
So, J’onn easily enters Adam’s mind, and dumps all his misery into him, and THEN gets hurt when Adam is TRANSFORMED back to his human self by the lightning. Lightning itself does nothing to break his TP, lol, and Mutant is acutely aware of that, hence his lies and desperate search for a BFR technicality.
AGAIN, you resort to this desperate lightning defence. I HAVE SHOWN J’ONN FIGHTING ON after HOURS of being aflame. I have shown him mind raping the Legion of Doom after MONTHS of torture. I have shown him dropping Superman and GL while in the middle of DYING. More than that, I have shown that Thor will never, EVER have the chance to summon any lightning! J’onn will not be standing there pontificating, he will be fighting with all he’s got, which means Thor will be INSTANTLY overwhelmed! And no, I never have to leave the ground, as that is in no way a self-BFR. The fact that Mutant is trying to make this laughable claim shows just how effectively my strategy negates him. I am INSIDE the battlefield. Not below it.
So, let’s sum this up, Judges.
1). The match begins, and at speeds Thor can barely react to, I phase safely into the ground, which is CLEARLY part of the battlefield. I also initiate my mindrape, because as I’ve proven, J’onn is fantastic multi-tasker, whereas as Thor is not. He is a lumbering brute.
2). I have proven that sufficient TP can drop Thor, and gone on to prove that J’onn is comfortably above the tier required to put him down. I have also shown that I am immensely faster, and thus have two reasons why Thor’s opening salvo will never happen. On TOP of that, I made his opening salvo useless by phasing into the ground, a fact he’s conceded by begging for a technicality
3). Mutant is so reliant on his opening salvo that he has offered no alternative should it fail. I have proven that even if everything somehow goes against me at the start, that J’onn still has enough power, speed and versatility pull the win. The entire match has been Mutant struggling to prove that he can even perform a single action, while having every one of his arguments easily dismissed. There is no debate to be had here. J’onn is faster, his telepathy gives him an edge that Thor cannot hope to overcome, and in terms of strategy I outplayed Mutant from the outset, a fact he has acknowledged through his attempted distortion of facts, and a desperate plea for help from the judges.
The Manhunter from Mars has taken this match. It‘s time we make it official.
SM's final post: (please log in to view the image) MM’s worst nightmare has come true as Thor has turned the entire battlefield into a raging inferno from the start.
Regarding MM’s death in Final Crisis as everyone can clearly see villains are stupid and they removed the fire surrounding him and the pyro dart capsules, enabling MM to do a last desperate mental attack. Of course Thor will not remove his raging storm of fire and lightning until MM is dead or BZ victory has been achieved. The main thing to remember is that MM was completely helpless while surrounded by fire which is the same thing Thor is doing here except on a much bigger and more powerful scale. https://imgur.com/a/C9dUVZd
Dromedan is a deviant mutate with great psychic powers. He is able to effortlessly mind control Makarri and Ikaris into fighting each other. On another occasion he mentally controlled Thing and Black Panther along with the population of Manhattan. https://imgur.com/lT7ploc https://imgur.com/a9RBnWM
In Martian Mind's own scan, MM states of Black Adam “Facing him before, I was…broken...against the crux of his anger.” https://imgur.com/9NwvGOr
Similarly Thor’s rage will break MM. Here, Thor doesn’t have to hold back or be concerned about collateral damage. He can if necessary just let his rage and anger take over. That’s Silver Surfer and Drax getting blasted. https://imgur.com/KQ1kjdf
Silver Surfer not holding back still gets crushed by Thor, who lets his warrior’s rage take over. https://imgur.com/a/AXCMwNo
Unlike Black Adam, Thor doesn’t have to say Odin everytime he sends down a lightning bolt, and he will send many more than one. Again Thor isn’t holding back here in any way. Thor will spam his lightning all over the battlefield effortlessly. https://imgur.com/jFhzpMf
I am curious about some of Martian Mind’s scans. I don’t why he showed his brother Malefic controlling MM and fighting the JL. Also MM fighting Triumph has nothing to do with Thor especially the way that I am using Thor, targeting MM’s weakness immediately.
1. There is no speed advantage for MM because Thor is doing AOE attacks immediately and using mjolnir. He is not fighting h2h, but he will punch MM lights out if needed after MM has already been significantly weakened from the raging inferno.
2. Mjolnir racing towards MM is not a back up plan. This happens at the same time of Thor’s AOE attacks when the match starts. Martian Mind has shown nothing that is capable of stopping or even slowing down the hammer. It is faster than MM as well, and can counter all of his versatility.
3. MM hiding underneath the Savage Land does nothing but ensure that my storm and hammer is waiting for him as soon as he surfaces when the match start lol. He cannot stay underground and risk a self bfr. He has not shown or reference one instance where MM used telepathy while phase through something. IIRC Martian Mind has not shown one instance of MM using telepathy while even intangible. So, he cannot even attack me while phased underground anyway, meaning I have plenty of time much more than I need to use AOE attacks and mjolnir against him.
4. Even if Black Adam was amped during WW3 which is debatable, I’m only referencing how mystical lightning messed up MM multiple times and Black Adam strong will and rage resisting MM’s telepathy. Both of which are comparable in part to Thor. I don’t care if Black Adam’s physical stats were increased or not. Also similar to Black Adam, Thor isn’t holding back here.
5. Unlike Martian Mind I have actually countered his strategy which I obviously knew that he was going to try and do from the beginning. There can be do doubt based on all the scans that we both have shown, that fire severely harms and immediately weakens MM. Plus mystical lightning has really messed him up as well. Thor is doing both in the BZ plus mjolnir which Martian Mind has no answer for. I have shown in every post, Thor resisting mental attacks but MM has no defense against my attacks.
Libra’s flaming spear killed MM. (please log in to view the image)
So MM has no chance against mjolnir, especially a flaming mjolnir. (please log in to view the image)
Don’t worry Martian Mind, I’m sure you will give J’onn a great eulogy.
(please log in to view the image)
Just remember Thor offered to cremate his body for free.
SPEED
Martian Mind references Martian Manhunter’s speed by demonstrating his combat performances against Flash, Superman, and Wonder Woman. In some instances, simultaneously against these opponents.
Martian demonstrates Thor’s inability to deal with speed from characters who are comparable to J’onn in speed and strength.
TELEPATHY
Manhunter’s telepathy is demonstrated against other psionic users as well as the range of his telepathic attacks. J’onn’s ability to multitask while incorporating his telepathic assault is also shown.
Martian provides proof of Thor’s vulnerability to telepathic attacks.
OPENING ATTACK
J’onn is intangible and phased underground while attacking Thor undetected at superspeed.
Supermutant
Global FIRESTORM
Supermutant shows Thor’s ability to create firestorms without the use of Mjolnir. The scale of the firestorm is large enough to cover the battlefield in this match.
Mutant shows Manhunter’s vulnerability to fire-based attacks and his becoming disoriented and weakened in the presence of fire.
MJOLNIR ATTACK
Mutant shows the tracking ability of Mjolnir and its ability to act independently of Thor wielding it.
Telepathic Resistance
Mutant provides examples of Thor being resistant to telepathy.
Opening Attack
Thor covers the battlefield in lightning and fire while simultaneously launching Mjolnir to attack Manhunter.
Round 1 impressions
Martian Mind clearly establishes J’onn’s speed, telepathic powers, and physical strength. Mutant shows that Thor can pull off the lightning and firestorm without Mjolnir while simultaneously using the hammer to launch an attack.
Advantage
Martian Mind. Launching an attack while submerged underground and intangible negates nearly the entirety of Mutant’s plan.
Second Post
Martian Mind attacks Supermutant’s claim about Thor’s telepathic resistance by providing several examples of him being taken under control by telepaths. All the telepaths cited have at least comparable feats with Manhunter. Martian also provided context to the resistance argument Mutant provided with The Black Adam scans thereby debunking the claim. The speed advantage is reinforced with examples of J’onn speed blitzing characters who also have superspeed.
Supermutant argues that the mere presence of fire at all weakens Manhunter to the point of making him ineffective in combat and provides scans to support the claim. He then provided a rebuttal to the instances in which Thor was mind controlled by Moondragon, Loki, and Puppet Master by citing other encounters with the characters where he resisted them. Mutant adds that Martian’s subterranean assault is in fact “Battlefield removal” and should disqualify him from victory. Also, when Manhunter comes up from the ground the waiting inferno would incapacitate him.
Round 2 impressions
Martian Mind directly negated claims of Thor’s telepathic resistance with scans of his being taken under control several times by various opponents. The Black Adam encounter as a basis for Thor’s ability to pull off a similar attack was addressed with scans giving context that refute Mutant’s argument. Superior speed and primacy of telepathy is again backed with proof.
Supermutant addresses the instances with Moondragon, and Loki showing examples of Thor resisting them while giving context to the Puppet Master encounter. Mutant also adds three new elements in his argument for Thor. One, there is no speed advantage for Manhunter as the entire battlefield is covered in fire and lightning. Second, Manhunter remaining underground while attacking is “Self battlefield removal” and grounds for disqualification. Third, magic lightning can sever the telepathic link of Manhunter.
Advantage
Martian reinforces the speed advantage by Manhunter as well as Thor’s vulnerability to telepathy. While at the same time he refutes the encounter with Black Adam that is the central point of comparison for Thor in this matchup.
Final Posts
Manhunter uses Supermutant’s Tower of Babel scan to illustrate that even while on fire J’onn can still function well enough to combat both Wonder Woman and Flash. The argument of “Self Battlefield removal” is dismissed as the ground “Is” a part of the battlefield. Every instance of Thor surmounting telepathy involves a struggle which would cost him time in a match where he is already at a speed disadvantage. Martian also shows that none of Supermutant’s scans illustrate lightning severing a telepathic link established by Manhunter.
Supermutant reinforces that Thor’s Warrior spirit and rage is enough to surmount Manhunter’s telepathy. He dismisses the instances of J’onn’s resistance to fire while in battle to the stupidity and arrogance of his opponents. None of which will be replicated by Thor. Mutant again argues for “ Self Battlefield removal” to be charged against Manhunter for the underground assault. In addition, he argues that there is no proof that Manhunter can simultaneously phase into the ground and assault Thor telepathically.
DECISION
The opening strategy of Martian Manhunter phasing through the ground while simultaneously attacking Thor telepathically was never surmounted by Supermutant’s arguments. When allowing for everyone of Mutant’s arguments it still could not refute the points made by Martian Mind.
Weakness to fire- Manhunter still operated at a level that would allow him to complete his initial attack.
Anger/Strength of will- Black Adam’s performance even with the context still does not disable J’onn’s assault.
Multi-tasking- Martian provides proof that Manhunter can perform feats simultaneously.
Thank you very much to the judges, spectators and most of all Mutant. You're actually the person I've faced most in my BZ history, and you never failed to put on an amazing display. Well done on an incredible match.
Still can't believe I won a tourney to get J'onn declared the Greatest Hero. As far as BZ achievements go, that's pretty much the dream for me. Unless I see something REALLY interesting down the line, I think this might be it, tourney-wise. It's been an absolute pleasure, ya'll.
I always love reading these. Great job both of you. I need to get my laptop back, I really want to do one with Godzilla (comp hopefully but maybe idw) against some other heralds.
