When characters make/remake universes/multiverses, wouldn't these count as artifacts? Personally, I think these actions are absurd, smacking of waayyy over-the-top one-upmanship. Nonetheless, these cosmic fabrications are things made, like a ship.

The Source Wall is more an accumulation of would-be usurpers/pretenders, than a piece of tech. It also has a sort of bio-organic element to it... I wouldn't call it a manufactured machine anymore than I would call 'God'(from The Authority) a machine. /shrug

As for *actual* machines/tech...

Either the Quantum Mechanics' ship, which housed dozenS of worlds:
(please log in to view the image) (please log in to view the image)

Or Invictus' ship, which was a model solar system:
(please log in to view the image)

Hell, you could even go the good ol' fashioned Taa II route here:

I agree that it's exact history and what it is has never been verified, but I would definitely call it a structure.

It appears differently depending on the artist, but it's commonly portrayed as being an actual wall in blank spaces where there are no "usurpers" present and/or as clearly being a wall behind the usurpers.

Example 1
Example 2

And since it spans creation, it is definitely the biggest thing (even if you don't want to call it a structure) in comics that I can think of

I know the Source Wall is an actual structure of sorts. That much was evident after Black Hand resurrected most of the beings bonded to it, which left only the relatively blank/baron Wall behind:

But again: there is a clear bio-organic component to the Wall, and its origins are completely unknown... Didn't seem like the intent of this thread was to list 'meta' structures. /shrug

Lila Cheney's Dyson sphere is much larger than Taa II, at least if diameter/volume is used as the criterion. It even has a star in it. It's mostly empty space, though.

Cool, i was just guesstimating.

Fun fact:
Kirby never drew the Source Wall. It was first actually seen in the X-Men/Teen Titans crossover.

Impericon was ridiculous. It was like an intergalactic resort/getaway that was so massive its luxury suites had its own moons and some moons were used as nightclubs. They also had bazaars along its entire equator that were described as endless.

The Collector's ship was large enough to hold a small solar system. It had cranes that could yank moons out of orbit..

Yeah, and the tangible 'wall' portion of the Source Wall didn't even catch on until several yearS after that crossover was published in 1982.

For example, here is the 'wall' as depicted in Swamp Thing #62 (1987):

The totality of The Source wall which is written in john bryne storyline is depicted to be final barrier of the creation .

The Source wall is depicted as beyond time beyond space an extra dimensional realm which is nowhere and everywhere . Here the great wall has stood before the beginning of time . A structure which spawned all the known and unknown dimensions and served to protect that which is the end of all things " , " The Source "

http://imgur.com/h65MWhb

" Beyond any known measures of time and space lies the wall spawning all the dimensions it spreads an infinite barrier between all that lies without and the unguessable secrets thats lie within . The Secrets of The Source "

http://i.imgur.com/KZapHGa.jpg

And takion travelled across all the higher dimensions reaching beyond the totality of the source wall and describes the source as boundless and timeless in the void nothingness

Is the entire source wall filled with old gods? I thought it was only near apokolips and new genesis
