Though I would say that Adamantium is probably the more durable metal in terms of toughness, as Vibranium gets it's nigh indestructibility by being able to absorb or deflect (depending on scene) energy. But that would be separating its ability from the metal and they're probably one in the same, but Vibraium has shown limits in how much energy it can absorb/deflect. Film Adamantium so far has shown only to be vulnerable to itself.
Look at it this way, if Cap's shield had been made of Adamantium instead of Vibranium when Thor 'brought the hammer down', the shield would have been fine, but Cap would have been crushed under it.
