Nope, Beerus couldn't replicate that feat. Nope, Whis couldn't either. But this is DBZ so I expect logic to fly right the hell out the window. These people think Goku can wiggle his pinky and take out the Living Tribunal. They make Superman and even Hulk fanboys look like down to earth rational people.

Beerus and Goku were going to accidentally destroy the universe with half a dozen punches. So the long days of DB characters being little more than planet busting is long gone.
That said I know nothing about the other dudes. Just explaining why there is a spike in new DBS content.

The feat was also done with both using less than full strength and what threatened to destroy the universe was residual energy, not the actual full force. As fighters in this universe use ki to amplify their physical attacks the point is not really that Goku or Beerus can punch the universe into oblivion. It is that they are capable of generating enough energy to do so, which means ki blasts would logically do more.
No but from a writing standpoint why would the writer destroy the universe? His reset button(Dragon Balls) are nowhere near powerful enough to fix that and it is hard to like either Goku or Beerus if they wiped out all life in a single universe in a fight for fun.
The intention of the scene is clear and supports what had been foreshadowed earlier("If Beerus uses his full power he could destroy the universe!") the best way it can.
Edit: None of this is to say Beerus and Whis win. I don't know why the opposition are capable of and I have no real vested interest in the penis measuring contest that is DBZ vs the MU/DCU.

The Shockwave ofor their punches were crossing overror through the entirety of the Universe (this ft alone puts them above Odin) erupting suns and destroying planets and their last punch was going to annihilate the universe. There's no taking away from this ft.
We don't need that feat at all. We do know that Zeus and Odin are slow, that's all that is needed here.
Whis, aside from ludicrous levels of fighting and travelling speeds, can also fight pretty much without thinking. Makes the telepathy that Odin possesses useless.
Beerus is not much slower and trained to do the same thing (which, admittedly, he hasn't mastered - but he really doesn't need to against these two).
Without speed being equalized, there's nothing to discuss here.
