Ever notice the T-800 never kills anyone, even before John told him not to?
Think the resistance added in a hidden directive against killing ala Robocop, so he wouldn't be able to even if he wanted to?

Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
There's a lot weird about what he does. I get the sunglasses are iconic to the Terminator, but does he need them? He walks up slowly to the guy (wasting a lot of time for a Terminator whose sole programming is to protect John Connor), and takes the sunglasses.
The clothes I get, but he shouldn't care about the sunglasses.
Maybe if his eyes get messed up, but what about his head? Why not wear a turban or beanie or something in that case? A pipe could get smashed into his head, revealing his exoskeleton, he could get shot in the face, all of this would reveal his identity.
The reason for the sunglasses is due to the fact that the terminators see in infrared, this allows them to hunt much more easily during night time. Since these are they predefined settings and since they are going to be exposed to sun light, their vision capacity and clarity is going to be reduced in daylight and that is why they need the sunglasses to darken their view to make the best use of their infrared vision.
