The creator of the original devil may Cry 1 game says Mundus created a universe in DMC in twitter

The question is
Does Mundus have universal durability or universal damage output? Did Dante survive a universal attack or defeated Mundus who has universal durability
I'm not buying into Mundus being Universal

Does he have enough power to "damage" his universe? If he does then he is universal.
Now Universal takes into consideration a larger spectrum than just damage.
For a being to be universal he must have power/control over all the aspects of his Universe/Reality.
e.g. Thanos with the IG is universal since he controls all the aspects of his universe.
Does Mudus have the ability to control his entire reality?
