Pessimist who doesn't think any political system can work for any extended period of time. Humanity is doomed to repeat its mistakes time and time again until we die out (and thank **** whenever that happens).

Idealist stance: anarchist. Every man should be his own master. Every man should care for his brother, and other. We should rule ourselves. (Humans are incapable of this, sadly.)

Also a believer in liberty (the real, scary kind), nationalism (the small-scale civic kind, no ethnic bullshit, more a stance on working borders than anything), and retaining tried-and-true methods whilst still striving for new methods (conservative-progressivism).

Social policies are necessary and must be worked on until we find something that reduces unnecessary suffering without limiting innate liberties.

The big question here really is: does anybody actually have ethics? Because ethics tend to inform political positions. I feel like most people here have political loyalties, but no actual innate ethics, instead basing their political beliefs upon those of the tribe they serve.

I chose the company I work for primarily based on their ethical stances, policies and actions.
