It can be any style whether comedy, drama, or something inbetween. What are some of your favorite movies where two friends drive across a country and learn about themselves or get into mischief?

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles has to be my best road trip film:
- Great balance between comedy and drama
- Lovable and believable characters
- Excellent plot structure and revelation near the end
Rain Man is up there.
I'll watch Todd Phillips' filmography of road movies as well (Road Trip, Euro Trip, Hangover, Due Date).
Top five no particular order:
-Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas (1998) (Probably my #2)
-Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987)
-Rain Man (1988) (Probably my #1)
-Natural Born Killers (1994)
-The Motorcycle Diaries (2004)
I always loved the "scotty doesn't know" part of Eurotrip lol.
