I don't like "manly" punk rock. I like the dude's with high voices that make me feel feelings.
When I listen to blink they make me think of high school and I LOVED high school so thats a good thing.
I'm sure on a different day I'd prefer Melvins though.
For the record I like ALL different genre's of music. There's even some JB songs I like, but at the same time I love Def Leppard, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, xxxtentacion, Ninja Sex Party, Owl City, Tenacious D, Mariah Carey, Arianna Grande, Beyonce, DMX, 2Pac, 2 Live Crew, & more.
I even like 1 song from One Direction. It's people who are hipsters who say only old music is good, and true souls can understand and like new music just as much as old music.
People bring Melvin's into a thread about blink and sum 41? Why? The whole are they punk argument was done to death in like 2001. Blink came from the punk/pop punk scene in mid 90s, around about the time Green Day released Dookie. They're not trying to be the damned or the clash or anyone else, but they're a lot more popular than any other band mentioned. If you must, call it pop punk and pop punk is awesome.
I'd be happy enough to admit to listening to both from time to time, especially Cyndi Lauper, she's a legend. If instead you had said Tamagotchi 911 and Lil Bo Peep or whatever SoundCloud rappers are about now, that might work and actually be relevant
